Last night, TNT aired the "New Year's Smash" edition of AEW Dynamite and, if you're a pro wrestling fan, it was one heck of a show. Something we thought might be of interest to our superhero-loving audience here on ComicBookMovie.com is the ring gear donned by Thunder Rosa.
Rosa was squaring off with Jade Cargill (who we're sure you'll remember once cosplayed as Storm) in a match to decide who would advance to the finals of the TBS Championship Tournament.
What really grabbed our attention is what Rosa came to the ring wearing; as you'll see below, she donned ring gear that was clearly inspired and based on X-Men character Laura Kinney, a.k.a. Wolverine. Also known to fans as X-23, the child version of Laura was introduced in 2017's Logan and continues to make an impact on the page. Rosa even had her own claws, and if this was her way of telling us she'd like to play the hero in a movie, we'd definitely give her a shot.

Unfortunately, a debuting Mercedes Martinez robbed Rosa of the win in this match, but we're sure those of you who tuned into AEW Dynamite each week (it moves to TBS next Wednesday) enjoyed this comic book nod. Wrestlers frequently wear gear inspired by superheroes and supervillains, though we'd argue this is one of the most impressive efforts to date as it's pretty much a cosplay costume!
