When viewers of ABC’s hit series “Castle” first met Richard Castle, he had reached celebrity author status with the success of his Derrick Storm mystery novels. In an unprecedented collaborative effort between Marvel, ABC Studios and the producers of “Castle,” the adventures of Derrick Storm will be chronicled in an all new graphic novel from some of the most accomplished creators in the industry

Not only is this the first time a Derrick Storm story has been published, but Castle: Richard Castle’s Deadly Storm also marks the first major day & date digital release of a major graphic novel in North America.

“Once we read Deadly Storm we knew we had the kind of comic that would appeal to a wide demographic and it made perfect sense to make a day & date digital release on the Marvel Comics app,” said Axel Alonso, Marvel Entertainment Editor in Chief. “This is the kind of comic that brings new fans to our great medium and we couldn’t be more excited for new readers, fans of ‘Castle’ and everyone else to discover Derrick Storm’s origin—and enjoy a flat-out exciting story!”

Castle: Richard Castle’s Deadly Storm brings together a star studded cast of the top talent in comics, including co-writers Brian Michael Bendis (Avengers, Ultimate Comics Spider-Man) and Kelly Sue DeConnick (Captain America And The Secret Avengers); interior artist Lan Medina (Fables); and cover artist Carlo Pagulayan (Planet Hulk).
