Sam Worthington is staring as Perseus, who is put on a quest to save a princess and defeat Hades, the god of the underworld.

Mikkelsen is playing Draco, a skilled fighter and leader of the Praetorian Guard that accompanies Perseus. Davalos is Andromeda, the captured princess.

Gemma Arterton let go the news earlier this week she was cast as Io who is key in connecting the winged horse Pegasus to Perseus.

Louis Leterrier directs based on a script by Matt Manfredi and Phil Hay. Shooting starts in the UK at the end of the month.

Producing the film are Basil Iwanyk and Kevin de la Noy.

This time around the story will be more focused on Perseus, which is cool. I mean after all he is the star of this film. Rumor also has it that the remake of Clash of The Titans will be rated R. Great for the fans of the first movie, not so great for the kiddies.

I also heard that Gerald Butler is going to be cast as Neptune, the god that unleashes the Kracken, and Madonna (without makeup or special effects)as Medusa. For the love of Zeaus DONT LOOK INTO HER EYES!!! Eeewww creepy, but somehow that last one fits.
