Hey all, you are probably expecting my weekly reviews, but this and next week are both small weeks so I'm gonna save those for next week, but hey its the end of the year, time for best of lists. So I'm gonna post 2 lists, this list is the best comics I read in 2010, even if they are older, I READ them in 2010. Now what qualifies, which is a lot to look back on, so most if not all will be more recent works. They are not just Marvel or DC, I did get a few from other companies. Also the category is based on Title not issue, but arcs count, Also anything that's Trade Paperback will be included but won't be too big. Alright so with that said, here are my Top 15 Comics of 2010

#15. Transformers: All Hail Megatron Vol 1 and 2

Story: Megatron invades and Conquers earth with ease, while the Autobots are stranded on Cybertron trying to get to Earth to save the day.

Reason: We all love the Transformers and this to me is one of the best jump in stories you can ever read. It has tons of great action moments and it feels very much like an 80s episode.

#14. Gigantic

Story: An alien reality fighting show lands on earth and chaos ensues

Reason: I wanted to do a review of this a while ago but never got around to it. This is a true satire comic, it mocks our culture and the world we live in. Right from the beginning you can tell it's a pure satire comic, like if Paul Veerhoven made a comic, this is how he would have done it.

#13. Doctor Voodoo 1-5

Story: The newly entitled Sorcerer Supreme, Jericho Drumm has to overcome the new reality of his position, while maintaining a normal life and heroic duty.

Reason: I actually enjoyed this series, sadly it was canceled after not getting enough fan support. It was trying to tell a great concept with a new angle of mysticism but just as it got the ball rolling, it deflated.

#12. American Jesus

Story: A boy in the 80s discovers his life beginning to imitate Jesus, only to discover that he is the Second Coming

Reason: Because I'm such a huge Millar whore, that putting it on the list seems redundant but this is one of his best non heroic books.

#11. Siege 1-4

Story: This event in the Marvel Universe brings the Dark Reign to a close with Osborn attacking Asgard, which rallies all of the heroes to band together once more and bring an old era to an end

Reason: It was full of action and drew a lot of loose ends to a close as well as making new threads

#10. Scott Pilgrims Finest Hour Vol 6

Story: Bringing this amazing series full of rich and great characters to a close

Reason: I loved this series and I feel this has one of the best conclusions of any comic finale. Everything is fine with this volume and a must read

#9. Avengers 1-6

Story: Fresh from Siege, Rogers takes over the title of Director of SHIELD and reenlists the Avengers. Half defend the world from a growing chaos in the present and others go to save the future.

Reason: Now doing time travel off the bat is hard to do, but Bendis manages to give us a great opening to what will be an amazing title.

#8. Secret Avengers 1-5

Story: Rogers newly and secretly formed covert team go to Mars to stop an impending doom.

Reason: I love the dark look to it, it feels much like a covert team. Brubaker manages to give us a great cast of characters full of intrigue and action.

#7. Power Girl- Judd Winick run

Story: Following around the events of Brightest Day, Kara's life changes rapidly after the return of an old friend.

Reason: While the Gray and Palimiotti made Power Girl a fun read, Winick makes Power Girl a rich and deeper character, she develops from a campy character to a real life person, with conflict and emotions.

#6. Blackest Night 1-8

Story: A new and very powerful Lantern Corps invades earth, it takes the combined efforts of all the Corps and all of Earth's Heroes to stop it.

#5. Nemesis 1-4

Story: A batman like super villain makes a Police Commissioners life, as well as many others, a living hell.

Reason: Yes, once again Millar makes it onto the list, because...well, this comic is just pure shock and awe. Every turn of the page makes you worry what he does next.

#4. Brightest Day 1-16

Story: 12 heroes and villains have been giving another chance at life, they must uncover the reason why while waiting for a new champion for the White Ring.

Reason: Post Blackest Night, this is a great story line that the cast of characters is indeed unique and all of them have a greater role to play now.

#3. Thor #604-614

Story: Thor has been banished out of Asgard. He confronts Dr. Doom, Battles in Siege, and Travels into Hell to rescue Hela.

Reason: Kieron gives us a fantastic run, he blends Thor's magic and mysticism better than JMS had did prior. He gives us a three amazing arcs that are worth reading if you are a huge Thor fan.

#2. Planetary Vol 2

Story: The crew continues their amazing and bizarre adventure and discover who the Fourth man is.

Reason: This is a series that pays homage and parodies classic comic book tropes, while at the same time, makes them feel new and refreshing.

And the #1 comic of 2010 is*drum roll*

#1. Zatanna 1-3

Story: Zatanna must battle a demon named Brother Night, who is causing trouble on Earth.

Reason: I'm a sucker for magic titles, and this is the definitive title that gives me that fix. Paul Dini gives us a great portrayal of DC's Sorceress Supreme, as she handles her life, post JLA life. Her character is a fantastic read and a must if you follow Dini.

And there you have my list of the top 15 comics that I read in 2010. I hope you all give these a glance and enjoy them as much as I have. This was a tough list to make, because I had to cut some good titles as well, but those weren't on par with these. Hope you all have a happy new year and I will see you all in 2011. @destroyer....yes I put her as #1 because it's a very well done first arc, left me with a great impression of what's to come.

@earz......Superior is awesome but its not done yet. B&R was amazing, especially issues 13-16 with Irvings crazy artwork
