Marvel has a new 2011 mini series coming in march, probably to bring Japan back since the new Wolverine movie is coming out. The new short run series, written by Peter Milligan with artwork by Tomm Coker, Dalibor Talajic, Laurence Campbell, Goran Parlov and Leandro Fernandez, is set to take several of the most popular and deadliest characters they have and bring them back in feudal Japan as masterless samurai. The characters featured will be Wolverine, Psylocke, The Punisher, Hulk and Deadpool.
“What would the ultimate samurai super hero epic look like? The answer is 5 RONIN” says Editor Sebastian Girner. “When we came up with the idea of taking our biggest heroes and setting them in this time period, writer Peter Milligan and the amazingly talented cast of artists immediately jumped on board. This is easily one of the most beautiful comics you will read this year.”
Three covers have been provided so far, but Marvel is taking advantage of this project to (once again) put out a number of variants with such noteworth people as David Mack and David Aja. "[R]etailers will have the opportunity to order two different covers per issue, one by superstar artist David Aja and one by another industry favorite."
Personally this dosn't sound that interesting but I could be wrong. And the Punisher picture looks awesome.
