In "Alien Siege," invaders attack Earth to take human prisoners. Each government must turn over a number of its citizens in compliance or face annihilation. Rather than die for humanity, the selected citizens fight for freedom. Walden and co-composer Matthais Weber are currently scoring their second feature for UFO Films, "Crimson Force," which will air on Sci Fi Channel later this year. In the meantime, Walden is embarking on a West Coast tour to promote his album.

Legendary multi-Oscar® winning film composer John Williams has endorsed Chris Walden's upcoming album. Walden's arrangement of Williams' classic "Star Wars" theme features world class musicians Brandon Fields on tenor saxophone and Peter Erskine on drums. "Chris Walden and his great band breathe vibrant new life into our beloved tradition," Williams says, "Bravo, Chris, and keep the fires burning!" On "Home of My Heart," available February 15 from Origin Records, Walden arranges and performs jazz and film music that inspired his international career and original compositions that pay them homage.

Jazz luminary Dave Grusin raves "The performances are superb and the soloists are first rate, but the writing is the star here. . . Chris has truly made his mark, and he owns it." Five time Grammy® winner and Oscar® winning recording artist Christopher Cross calls "Home of My Heart" "an exquisite collection of compositions, arrangements and musicianship," and Walden's arrangement of his "Rainy Day in Vancouver" "the ultimate compliment."

Still only in his mid-30s, Chris Walden has composed, arranged, orchestrated, conducted and performed on well over 100 albums, films, television shows and commercials. Born in Germany, Walden began his musical career in Europe in the late 1980s while still in his teens, composing for the German National Youth Jazz Orchestra. He began to score movies for television and, developing a style suited for big productions, moved to Hollywood in 1996 and takes on both American and German productions.
