2012 was arguably the greatest year ever for comic book movies. We not only had Christopher Nolan's epic finale to his Batman trilogy, but geek God Joss Whedon finally brought Earth's Mightiest Heroes to the big screen all in one movie. Throw in Spider-Man return to the big screen, a damn good Judge Dredd movie and, er, Ghost Rider, and this was quite the year for our favourite superheroes.
