From highly anticipated live-action debuts and sequels, to multiverse-spanning epics, and much-delayed releases, there's plenty on the slate for 2023, and we have the release dates and information for each of the films below!

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania

Superhero partners Scott Lang and Hope Van Dyne return in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania to not only continue their adventures as Ant-Man and the Wasp, but to also officially kick off phase 5 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Together, with Hope's parents Hank Pym and Janet Van Dyne, the family finds themselves exploring the Quantum Realm, interacting with strange new creatures and embarking on an adventure that will push them beyond the limits of what they thought was possible. Jonathan Majors makes his MCU debut as Kang the Conqueror.

Shazam! Fury of the Gods

Shazam! Fury of the Gods serves as the first film of 2023 for DC/Warner Bros. The sequel to 2019's Shazam! will continue the story of teenage Billy Batson who, upon reciting the magic word "SHAZAM!," is transformed into his adult Super Hero alter ego, Shazam. The fate of the world depends upon Batson and his foster siblings defeating the Daughters of Atlas.

In Marvel Studios' Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, our favorite ragtag band of outcasts has taken on a slightly different look these days. Peter Quill, who is still mourning over the loss of Gamora, has the responsibility of rallying his crew around him in order to defend the universe and safeguard one of their own. A mission that, in the event that it is not accomplished successfully, has the potential to bring about the end of the Guardians as we know them.

Brie Larson will reprise her role as Captain Marvel/Carol Danvers in The Marvels, the final MCU film for 2023. She will be joined by Teyonah Parris, who made her debut as Monica Rambeau in Marvel Studios' WandaVision, as well as Iman Vellani, who appeared as Ms. Marvel in the Disney+ series of the same name.
