Jaeden Lieberher is currently shooting a role for Rian Johnson’s Knives Out, a modern murder mystery inspired by the works of Agatha Christie, Comic Book Movie has learned.

With a stacked veteran cast, Lieberher is in good company. Already part of the ensemble are Avengers: Infinity War lead Chris Evans and current James Bond, Daniel Craig. Knives Out also features Lakeith Stanfield, Michael Shannon, Jamie Lee Curtis, Christopher Plummer, Don Johnson, Toni Collette, and Ana de Armas.

Knives Out will be the first feature from Johnson since Star Wars: The Last Jedi hit theaters in December. The writer/director has also been working on a brand new Star Wars trilogy.

Currently without an announced distributor, Knives Out will be financed by MRC. Looper and The Last Jedi cinematographer Steve Yedlin is reuniting with Rian Johnson for the project as well. Production started in Boston last week.

Jaeden Lieberher is best known for portraying Bill Denbrough in 2017’s It. He will also appear in the sequel to the Stephen King adaptation, which wrapped principal photography in October, with James McAvoy playing the older version of Denbrough. Lieberher’s role in Knives Out is currently unknown.

Cool. He’s a really good actor, even in something as bad as Book of Henry.

I could see Rian Johnson as being a Shane Black type of director. Terrible with franchises, but good with original stories.

@THEDARKKNIGHT1939 - Have you seen any of his other stuff?

@MUTO123 - I've seen Brick and Looper, which I think were pretty good.

I have a question for people who didn’t like The Last Jedi: have you seen any of Rian Johnson’s other movies, and if so what did you think of them (and be honest!)? I’m don’t wanna start anything, I’m legit curious.

KNIVES OUT is also a pretty good Radiohead song

That is one heck of a damn cast, and a surely intriguing basic plot premise. He made an incredible modern film-noir by way of Brick, so another movie in that sort of vein has my interest immediately.

@OmegaDaGrodd - I like that scene a lot because it is really disturbing. As far as plot goes it doesn't make much sense though. If they're killing young Seth anyway his older self would disappear, thus closing the loop. Still wouldn't take the scene out though. In a way, it's a bit of misdirection for how the film ends.

@OmegaDaGrodd - Exactly illustrates what is wrong with the whole idea of time travel the way its shown in this movie. It's the ridiculous Back to the Future model taken far too seriously. And anyone who thinks it's awesome is frankly stupid.

@OmegaDaGrodd - So yeah.. Time just chose that point in his life to implement the changes of his limbs being hacked away.. And it made no other changes, effected nothing else in time.. Ridiculous.

Another hit............. and run for Ruin Round Head Johnson! The good thing for him is that there are no high stakes for this product. He can subvert his expectactions whichever way he wants.

Footnote: He completely misunderstood Luke Skywalker. The fans wanted Luke, he gave them a Jake, it is as simple as that!

@IronGenesis - “Fear is the path to the dark Ruin Head side. Fear leads to Round Johnson anger. Round Anger leads to hate. Hate leads to Star Wars suffering.”
