Here's hoping the opening credits are equally as awesome as Skyfall.

I sincerely hope that Bond 24 takes a few notes from Casino Royale (2006), in the sense of not only it's style, but it's direction, script, and cinematography. Even though the films that succeeded Casino Royale called for a variety of brand new tones, I feel Mendes must recapture the atmosphere, from what I argue to be, the best Bond film ever created.

Well that was mildly disappointing.

I always respected Casino Royale, but that movie is too serious for what I like in my Bond movies. Skyfall was more in line of what I hope the franchise keeps going for.

Bring on the camp.

Besides the large mountains this unfortunately could be a housing development anywhere . . . .

Cool I guess. Skyfall was decent, but I hope this is much better.

I know how stupid this sounds, & I will probably be offending half the people on this site.

BUT, I found the British Accent's too thick in SkyFall.. Granted I only viewed it once late at night on netflix (No subtittles).. But that's all I kept thinking while watching LOL.

Glad to see Skyfall getting some love around here for the most part. It's definitely up there with Casino Royale as one of the best Bond films ever. Definitely pumped that Mendes is coming back for the follow-up.

This movie better be sick. Kingsman looks like a good spy flick to get me through 2014.

Never understood the love for Skyfall.

The villain was barely in it and Bond raped a girl in the shower.

SauronsBANE - 9/25/2014, 2:04 PM
@Batmantis Not to get into it too much, but it was clearly consensual. Is it 'rape' because she used to be in the sex trade against her will? So is she never allowed to have consensual sex ever again because of that? I just don't quite understand that mentality.

A little bit better I guess.

I can't wait for this one.....and considering Mendes was iffy over returning to this franchise to begin with, my hype is even MORE stoked......

See 'Revolutionary Road' when you get the chance (Michael Shannon's moment and where his sub-par Zod began)

THEN see 'American Beauty'

THEN see 'Skyfall'

It'll all make sense what Mendes is doing and where he's wisely taking the Bond Franchise....

Skyfall was crap, should have brought back Martin Campbell, a director who can construct a good story and actually shoot action properly with flair instead of that hack Mendes. Undid everything Campbell set-up in Casino Royale ugh.
bonesmcgee
bonesmcgee - 9/25/2014, 11:49 PM
@Ocelot Yes, Skyfall was 'crap' but Quantum of Solace was a masterstroke. With action scenes what shakes so hard, I just...wanted more. More shakes please, not stored.

You're not very constructive when you got a highly praised movie like Skyfall and you poop on it, and then call Mendes a hack. A hack. A word reserved for dudes like Uwe Boll. So the man who made 'American Beauty' is in the same category as the dude who made 'Alone in the Dark'.

Wake up. You don't seem smart.
