Hitman: Agent 47 is the second feature film based on the popular video game series. The first film, which opened in 2007 starred Timothy Olyphant and Dougray Scott. It made $100M at the worldwide box office against a meager $24M budget. The new film, is being directed by Aleksander Bach and written by Michael Finch, Kyle Ward and Skip Woods. It stars Rupert Friend, Zachary Quinto, Hannah Ware and Thomas Kretschmann. Of note: Friend replaced Paul Walker in lead after the Fast & Furious actor died in a car accident.

"The story is focused a young woman named Katia van Dees who teams up with Agent 47 in order to find her father and her true ancestry. They both discover that Katia is a genetically engineered assassin just like 47. Together, they fight the Syndicate to find Katia's father."

Looks good. I never understood why they would have a bar-code tattoo'ed on the back of there head? Wouldn't it arouse suspicion?

@SuperDude001 - Statham would be a bad idea. He's already planned The Transporter, Agent 47 would look like a ripoff.

Anyway, I wrote about it in a previous article but here's the new barcode (or lack of).

I actually really liked the first Hitman movie. It is a decent action flick and I like Timothy Olyphant as well as most of the other cast members like Dougray Scott. Hopefully this one of closer to the games.

Ugh.

They'll probably go: "this is just like the video game, because Absolution has a similar storyline".... except Absolution is probably the worst Hitman game.
Silent Assassin came out when I was in high school, and once I grabbed that one, I was hooked. They kept getting better until Blood Money set the bar too far up for any other game to match.

The Timothy Olyphant movie wasn't the abomination most hardcore fans took it for, but it did stink of studio intervention. 47's soul love interest is Diana, and that's barely anything. Still, it had some nice homages and touches to it.

well there's your problem! Look at that head! Jesus it's like an alien head.

This will always be the best live action Hitman rendition ever...and it wasn't even for a Hitman movie!

That, everyone is Matthew Fox. That was from that movie Alex Cross. It might have been a bad movie (it wasn't terrible, it wasn't great) but the way Fox looked throughout that entire movie mad me scream at the screen WHY THE [frick] IS HE NOT 47!! CMON!

His head is perfect. His features are perfect. LOOK AT THAT GRIMACE.
@GUNSMITH you know what I'm talking about right? That quintessential Agent 47 perpetual grimace.

That right there is the 47 we've been waiting for.

@Marxman12
Fox was the only reason I watched it. I've been a fan of MAtthew Fox since Lost.
I feel like he went all out for the role but everyone else was like stuck in first gear.
