First Set Photos Of Hugh Laurie As Mayor Of TOMORROWLAND

In Vancouver, Hugh Laurie ("House") was spotted wearing a shiny grey suit, as he filmed scenes in front of the "it's a small world" set. Which is meant to resemble the structure created at the 1964 New York World’s Fair. Hit the jump to check it out.

I wonder if he had a hair transplant or if he's still rocking hair-pieces on set. :O

I was sorta stoked when they released that season 6 trailer for House and he had the bald spot. Kinda just made House even cooler. Then they apparently digitally fixed that before it aired.

Didn't know he was in this. I'll be seeing it now. Hope he gets more high profile roles like this. I miss seeing Mr. Laurie every week.

Everything about this project intrigues me. It has this meta-fiction thing going on. Plus, one of the co-writers is Jeff "Doc" Jensen, who did some bat-sh*t crazy, but highly entertaining and thoroughly researched recaps of LOST for Entertainment Weekly.

From all the material posted it seems like this movie takes place in some alternate universe where the Tomorrowland area in Disneyland actually harbors some sort of transdimensional gateway into another place in space and time. The Clooney character must have found a way to go in it as a child and hasn't been able to go back since. He probably finds another young man who discovers it in the modern day and they help each other discover its secrets.

Or I could be completely wrong. Either way I still have no damn clue what this movie is about and it's frustrating to not have at least a clear synopsis. I'm not asking for spoilers, but just something a little more in depth.

It would be awesome if there was a crossover with the other (more) history-based Disney film SAVING MR. BANKS, where Tom Hanks plays Walt. Would definitely blur the lines between reality and fantasy.

Hugh Laurie, George Clooney, AND Brad Bird. Count me in. Take my money. Or if I'm broke, take the money I give you and don't ask questions about the guys chasing me.
