In the past mobile and iod games have been released based on films. Last year saw Thor, Captain America and Green Lantern mobile games. This year expect them for The Avengers, The Dark Knight Rises, The Amazing Spider-Man and Men In Black 3.

Although I can't find Gameloft's official press release, phoneArena's report says:

"After announcing its impressive 2011 profit figures, Gameloft shed some light on the titles, which we can expect seeing on our mobile devices this year. The company has been given licences for a number of major titles, namely The Dark Knight Rises, Ice Age, The Avengers, Men In Black 3, and The Amazing Spider-Man. Ladies and young gamers have something to look forward to as well as Gameloft is working on My Little Pony and Little Pet Shop too. Some, if not all of these titles are expected to be released on smartphones, feature phones, and tablets, including the Kindle Fire."

It also states the games will have in-app purchaes available for both, and will all be 'heavily social:

"While exact pricing details for these upcoming video games have not been disclosed, Gameloft stated that all of them will come with in-app purchases, including the ones released on feature phones. Furthermore, all of them will be "heavily social", although to what extent is not exactly clear at this time."

So, what do you think? Will you get the games?

I usually get all te superhero games one iPhone. 'Thor' was the best but wasn't great. 'Captain America' was good but suffered from the swipe technology (much like the Batman Arkham game which I hated). 'Spiderman: Toxic City' was pretty cool though. Both Iron Man games were ok. I liked the gameplay style (free roaming).

I'm just glad I'll get The Avengers on my phone! TASM should be pretty good if they stick to the Toxic City format. I'll pick up all of the above.

I personally enjoyed Captain America a little more than I did Thor, as the combat in thor eventually got repetitive, with figjhting wave after wave of enemies.

I'd like free-roaming to be a part of them too. I haven't got the Batman game yet, don't know if I should.

To be honest the Batman game is repetitive waves after wave. It's just swipe actions. I found it a bit tedious. I'm hoping The Avengers will be less clinical.

I really hate the Batman:Arkham City swipe technology.
I bought that repetitive ass game for 5 bucks. When I checked again the next day, it was being sold for $2.99
Needless to say, I was [frick]ing pissed
