So far it seems most of he original cast is returning Bill Murray, Harold Ramis, and Dan Ackroyd. No official word on Ernie Hudson, but who would turn this role down.

Sigourney Weaver was interested enough to have lunch with Bill Murray around Christmas time to discuss the possibility of a new movie.

No word yet if Rick Moranis will come out of retirement for this.

So far it seems that Judd Apatow is still on board as a producer/consultant, so we may still Seth Rogen, Paul Ruddin this feature.

A Summer 2011 release is likely, especially since the fact the script is only months away from being handed in and if Sony/Columbia like what they see… a director, crew and shooting dates will fall into place soon after.

lol, keepitreal youd be surprised how you would react! I actually saw a ghost once..i think! I dont have any other explanation for it but ill always remain cynical. It was either that or a hallucination but since i hadnt been taking shrooms or acid at the time there aint a whole lot of explanations left. Plus my sister sees crazy shit all the time so she reckons its a family thing..i [frick]ing hope not!

Thehawk, yeah Preacher cant live up to the comic..but ill be happy with a decent stab at it! Thank god its Sam Mendes and not Brett Ratner or some bastard

THEHAWK - 4/2/2009, 8:28 PM
With Mendese we at least got a shot.

Another I want is Sandman, done right! I could see someone with visiontaking that film, maybe someone like Tim Burton, or del Torro (Pan's Labirynth)

HAWK out.

KeepItReal- lol

I have seen ghosts, specifically. Sometimes I think I see ghosts of people that arent dead. They just lived in the same place for a long time and did the same thing over and over long enough that the person's surroundings kind of "recorded" them. I havent experienced entities or you know, spirits that are sentient. The ones that want to have a cup of tea and a chat.

I think sandman is dieing to get made. I think Tim Burton is dieing to make it. Del toro would be a very good choice as well. I kinda thought Gilliam would do well, but he can get a little, out of hand.

I want to see "the Coffin" get made into a cartoon feature. And where's "the Bone" cartoon?

Holy crap! I just read on G. del torro's fan site that he wants to do "the coffin" thats bdass!

I don't know if they can capture the same magic that brought us the Bobby Brown sequel.

As far as the movies listed are concerned.
1. Thor
2. WonderWoman
3. Jonah Hex
4. IronMan 2
5. Green Lantern
6. The rest...

This is definitely subject to change based on development news and buffalo wing goodness. Trailers also influence my judgement like a cold beer on a hot day.

wasnt it gonna be cgi?

im pretty sure i read somewhere that Harold Ramis was gonna do it that way on www.the-frat-pack.com a while back.

if it is live action i hope Jack Black's in it coz i loved his re-creation of it in Be Kind Rewind.

@Dog. Ackroyd and Ramis have been wanting to for a while, and they can if they wat to, because Ramis had the forsight to not lt the studio buy the rights to the characters. So they are coming back, Murray probably will. Sigourny might. Hudson will want to.

The only one that PROBABLY won't return would be Moranis. Since he retired he has turned down several lucrative roles. To bad because he is hilarious. This is a clip of him from the hilarious move Spaceballs.

If they do the passing on the torch type scenario, i hope they dont replace themselves with themselves. CHaracters that are so much like the originals it's like a charicature. And i hope slimer isnt a friend of theirs like in the cartoon.

Did someone say "PREACHER"?! ..."SANDMAN"?!!

"Baconbaconbaconbaconbacon - I SMELL BACON! What's in the bag?! Oh, I can't read! Gimmie' what's in the BAG! I SMELL BACON!!!!!"

As much as I would LOVE for someone to take a stab at 'Preacher' and 'Sandman', my fear is that nothing done would even come CLOSE to representing the meatiness (is that a word?) and depth of the original material (can you say 'Watchmen'?).

As for the 'Ghostbusters' crew, there's a REASON why we haven't heard from any of these guys in years people....

I don't know much about Ghostbusters 3 but it just seems like they're trying to reignite the movies but with new people. Like Indiana Jones 4 and Shia LeBouf...

Cagefighter2099 - 4/3/2009, 2:31 PM
Seth Rogen as a ghostbuster...I'd see that
darkclaw

I say Mosdef for the black ghostbuster...(you know theres going to be one). Seth Rogan, Paul Rudd, trying to think of a fourth but I cant come up with anything
THEHAWK
THEHAWK - 4/4/2009, 7:49 AM
I hope they get Ernie Hudson because he seemed to be the only sane Ghostbuster. When he ask them if they were going to tell the judge or mayor that some moldy Babolonian God was coming. And Murray looks at him seriously and says Mesopitamian. Then Hudson sayas "No offense, but I getting my own lawyer/" LOL

This would be just funny. Old saddle bags chasing ghosts lmfao.

What they should do is add "Jack black" lol and have him sing the damn theme song from "Be kind rewind" that be F'n A!

Not a big fan of Rogen, but I do think Rudd is very cool. I just hope it doesn't have that whole pervy feel to it that all the other Apatow movies have. I think it would be VERY COOL to see Sean William Scott in it and maybe the McLovin kid!
dogchasingcars
dogchasingcars - 4/6/2009, 10:04 AM
@durkinKnight thats funny but if you bring in rudd, sean william scott, and mclovin you just made the movie role models all over again which is a damn funny movie and leads me to believe rudd would make an awesome ghostbuster lol

I have my reservations about a Ghostbusters resurrection this late in the game. Harold Ramis has gotten FAT, Ackroyd and Murray are washed up and older than hell and unless they only have cameos as mentors for the new crew I am not thinking this will be too great. Sigourney should not even consider this and maybe think about another Aliens flick instead. I would love to see her pass the torch to another badass female...maybe Eliza Dushku or Summer Glau! As for Ghostbusters? Be happy with the new game coming out (which they claim is canon for the first 2 movies) and forget the 3rd film unless thy do it RIGHT
