Hello true believers.
Today Stan Lee celebrates his 88th birthday. I don't have to go into a long introduction of the man and his accomplishments, as most of you know more about him then your own father. The creator of modern comic storytelling, he has many of the greats under his belt. From X-Men, Fantastic 4, The Hulk, Ironman, and Spiderman, he has delighted readers with his unique brand of superheroes.
What made them so different from other characters were the circumstances that lead them to be heroes. Unlike the heroes of DC, with their single-minded mission of justice, Lee wanted to see ordinary people becoming extraordinary. The Fantastic 4, Stan’s answer to DC ‘s Justice League did just that. With it success, Lee ushered in a new era for comics, an era of heroes with flaws, doubts and vulnerabilities.
Lee went on to create maybe his most famous characters shortly after, Spiderman, The Hulk, Ironman, Dr. Strange and the X-Men, as well as introducing some of the first African-American superheroes—Luke Cage and The Falcon.

So from all of us, Thank You, Happy Birthday, and Excelsior!
