We need someone who lives in the L.A. area to attend press junkets, red carpet events, interview the stars and review movies early for us! If you fit the bill, send us your resume.

ComicBookMovie.com, the #1 fansite on the web dedicated to comic book movie news with over 6 million monthly readers, is looking for a fan reporter whom we can send intermittently to events located in Hollywood California.

PLEASE NOTE: This is an unpaid volunteer position--although CBM allows and encourages our contributors to use Google Adsense, where many of our top contributors earn $1000's monthly.

What you need to apply...

1.) You MUST be a Los Angeles resident OR be close enough to attend press events in Hollywood California without a great deal of travelling. Do NOT apply if you are not nearby.

2.) You MUST be at least 16 years of age, so you can drive yourself to events.

3.) You MUST be comfortable interviewing famous people.

4.) You NEED to have and be able to use small digital photo/video/recording devices, such as an audio recorder, a camera for pics, flip video, etc., that you take with you to these events (when allowed).

5.) You are REQUIRED to write well. We want grammatically correct, fun copy produced in a timely manner (at most a day later) about the events you will attend: press junkets, roundtables, 1:1 interviews, critique movie previews, major conventions, etc.

6.) You MUST be a registered member of ComicBookMovie.com and already know (or can learn quickly) how to write articles using our editors tools. (It's not that hard.)

If you think you are perfect for this position...

1.) Send in at least 2 writing samples to Galactus, HERE. Include at least a couple paragraphs why you think you are best suited for the position.

2.) Write and upload to ComicBookMovie.com an original, topical editorial, OR critique of a current movie. Then send Galactus the link.

GOOD LUCK APPLICANTS!

So does this mean CBM will be going to the premiere/get early screenings of movies like The Avengers, The Dark Knight Rises etc? Well, I already know one of your Editors is attending an early screening of Avengers so I kinda just answered my own question.

Basically, can we expect similar stuff as to your coverage of John Carter?

@Hawksblueyes
No one comes to Florida, much less the west side of the state. You know how excited the whole of Tampa was when we were hosting the Punisher?! It almost made us feel like a big NY type of city.

I could do this.

I'm over 16✔, I've lived in Hollywood✔(Los Angeles) for 11 years (two blocks from the Kodak Theatre), I'm bombarded with press events all the time✔ (as well as celebrities✔, depending on where I'm working at the time).

I know how to use digital equipment✔ (I was a theatre tech in school and out of school), and I'm a people person✔.

Oh, and I should think that I write rather well✔.

...Now it's just a matter of sending in a resume.

Decisions, decisions...

Eh; I'm sure you guys will find someone better suited than me, anyway.

JohnnySmoke: Of course I have, it's still there last I checked. Don't forget The Night Owl either. That's where most of my friends were gigging. Funny thing is, in the late 80's I was spending most of my weekends out at The Wall, on the island in Fort Walton Beach. If you ever hung around out there, we have probably met

This sounds like it would be a great experience, but I don't qualify.

It's not the distance, because I'm only about 7 hours away from L.A. The problem is my grammar. My grammar could use some work, you know, I wouldn't be confident with my writing.

I say give the job to nuck. He knows how to keep it classy. :P
