Let's start little and then go big. I will rank the polls I ran from a popularity aspect:
Vote Right here and tell us who wins The Avengers VS The Justice League?
134 of you Voted that the Justice League would beat The Avengers hands down,
BUT
387 of you said The Avengers would destroy The Justice League.
I have to agree with The Avengers smashing all but two of the Justice Leaguers faces. Those two being Superman and WonderWomen. Superman is vulnerable to Electricity and Magic. I think The Avengers would be smart enough to take out the rest of the Justice League and then concentrate on WonderWomen while putting a spell on Superman or just have Thor strike his ass with a few of Odin's lighting Bolts. Then (Sorry Justice League Fans) done deal.
The next poll in line asks the question: What was the best movie in the summer of 2009? Below are the results:
Star Trek
167 Votes (45.88%)
Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen
69 Votes (18.96%)
G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra
52 Votes (14.29%)
X-Men Origins: Wolverine
30 Votes (8.24%)
Terminator Salvation
23 Votes (6.32%)
Green Lantern: First Flight
23 Votes (6.32%)
As you can see ComicBookMovie fans voted Star Trek the best Comicbookmovie released in the summer of 2009!!
In the same article I asked: What was the Worst movie in the summer of 2009? Below are the results to that one as well.
X-Men Origins: Wolverine
46 Votes (27.71%)
Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen
43 Votes (25.90%)
G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra
40 Votes (24.10%)
Green Lantern: First Flight
17 Votes (10.24%)
Terminator Salvation
15 Votes (9.04%)
Star Trek
5 Votes (3.01%)
Unfortunate for Wolverine,, Logan won worst movie of the summer of 2009. And will be the proud recipient of "The Jackass" award. Hugh Jackmen WILL NOT receive this award as I blame Fox Studios for officially screwing the pooch and taking a great idea and totally sticking their thumb in it. Let's face it guys it was either going to be Wolverine or G.I. Joe. What are you going to do? Below is my list from best to worst Summer 2009 blockbuster movies.
Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen
As a child of the 80's Transformers was the bomb. The movie did the cartoon justice as it stayed with the source material and delivered the best action sequences of the year.
Star Trek
I'm not a Trekky, Im a Star Wars guy. But unless George Lucas puts his ego down and lets other people direct his films that he writes(stay with what your good at George) then all the space war movie money is changing hands and heading over to Starfleet.
Terminator Salvation
Christian Bale did ok, but Sam Worthington stole the show. Like I said in our review, people have been waiting to find out what happens after us humans start fighting Skynet. We wanted to find out how John Conner got that scar? We also wanted to see how the Terminators evolved into what they were in the first two movies. I know the studio acknowledges T3 but I thought that movie was horrible compared to T1, T2, and Terminator Salvation.
X-Men Origins: Wolverine
Hugh Jackmen did a great job as Wolverine as usual. Fox just screwed up everything else. Hopefully they learn from there mistakes as Deadpool develops, and Wolverine heads to Japan.
Green Lantern: First Flight
For an animated feature, it was the best out of DC to date. WonderWomen was good, Superman/Doomsday was better, my personal favorite Batman: Gotham Knights was sweet but Green Lantern stole the show. Be sure to catch Johnny and I as we go back to The Hall Of Heroes and review Superman/Batman: Public Enemies next month.
G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra
I had high hopes for G.I. Joe but unfortunately it just did not deliver what it should have. While watching this movie I felt bad for the legions of G.I. Joe fans especially the hard core fans that grew up in the 80's watching the cartoon like I did watching The Transformers. I lost it in the theater when Snake Eyes started running out of that Van after Cobra.
At the end of the year I will run a poll for Best Blockbuster Movie of 2009. It will come out after December 18th when Avatar hits theaters. If it were up to me I would put a Transformers: Revenge of The Fallen movie poster here, but you ComicBookMovie fans voted Star Trek best movie of 2009!!! So here you go.
This next poll was of personal interest to me as I was saying Hugh Jackmen should have put on the Wolverine mask a long time ago. I asked you ComicBookMovie fans: Should Wolverine wear his traditional suit he has, for the most part, worn in the Comics in Wolverine 2?
420 of you voted Hell Yes!!
While
112 of voted "What and take away screen time from Jackmen's mug,,No!!"
Well I hope the 112 of you that voted to keep Jackson's mug up on the big screen were women, cuz if any of you were dudes then your either funny, or not a true Wolverine fan. Fox, if you want to make more money then you have in awhile make Wolvie look like this in Japan.
The next poll in line asked the question: Should Tim Burton be considered to be the next Superman director?
275 of you voted Hell Yes!
But
317 of you voted No way! Keep Burton away from Supes!
I couldn't agree more. Tim Burton is one of the most successful directors of our time. But in no way shape or form does his twisted visions match up with Superman at all. That being said Tim Burton's take on Alice in Wonderland will be kick ass and I cant wait to see that movie next year.
The second most popular poll I ran asks the question: Who should be WonderWomen? Below are the results:
Nicole Scherzinger
775 Votes (35.66%)
Megan Gale
342 Votes (15.74%)
Jodi Lyn O'Keefe
226 Votes (10.40%)
Bridget Regan
189 Votes (8.70%)
Jessica Biel
162 Votes (7.46%)
Kate Beckinsale
136 Votes (6.26%)
Megan Fox
92 Votes (4.23%)
Morena Baccarin
92 Votes (4.23%)
Jennifer Love Hewitt
81 Votes (3.73%)
Catherine Zeta-Jones
64 Votes (2.95%)
Tera Patrick
14 Votes (0.64%)
Umm, yeah, I don't know how Nicole Scherzinger won this poll for the role of WonderWomen. But, as these polls are not rigged, I think a few of you ComicBookMovie Fans were thinking with the wrong head. But hey, who could blame you.
In all honesty, if Megan Gale can act half as good as she looks then she would be a shoe in for WonderWomen:) The WonderWomen poll closed with a total of 2172 votes.
And, Drum roll please,,,,,,,,,,,The Number 1 poll asks the question: What Villain deserves to be the butt of all the Spider-Man jokes in Spider-Man 4? Out of 3,989 votes, you the ComicBookMovie Fans voted The Lizard victorious with 1,234 votes. Carnage came in a close second with 842 votes.
If The Lizard does not appear in Spider-Man 4 then Raimi needs his head examined. How much character build up do you need to introduce one of Spidey's oldest villains? Bring it Raimi, leave the puss Parker storyline behind and have Spider-Man fighting for his life. Us ComicBookMovie fans want a smart ass, wise cracking Spidey, just like in the Comic Books. And as the Great Stan Lee would say "Nuff Said!!!"
