New RESIDENT EVIL Film Is Delayed Cause Director Knocked Up Star

38-year-old actress, Milla Jovovich, announced today that she is expecting her second child. It is a bit scandalous as the father-to-be is Resident Evil director Paul W.S. Anderson. He also happens to be Milla's husband. They've been married since 2009 and have a daughter together. Milla broke the news via her Facebook page. Congrats on the pregnancy Milla and Paul. Though, fans of the Resident Evil franchise will be a bit miffed as the pregnancy will delay filming on Resident Evil: The Final Chapter, which is said to be the last in the franchise.

Happy Monday everyone! This was originally going to be a post to tell you how excited I am about flying to Cape Town to begin working on Resident Evil: The Final Chapter.  But… My husband Paul and I just discovered that we are expecting another baby!!!

So after a lot of discussion, we thought it would be in everyone's best interest to wait till the baby is born before we set out to try and tackle an RE movie. Between the stunt work and what will become my ever-expanding belly, we didn't think pregnancy and zombie killing are the best combo! Lol! I imagine the only thing I'll be killing in the near future is an endless supply of cupcakes. Yikes…

In all seriousness though, we want to make the best movie possible and that would be extremely difficult, to say the least, in my present condition.

I would like to take a moment to say thank you to everyone who has been working so hard on the movie in South Africa already and we are so looking forward to working with you all next summer. And when we arrive, it will hopefully be with the newest member of our little family! YAY!

Thanks so much for understanding! All the best! - Milla Jovovich

Resident Evil: Retribution - The Umbrella Corporation’s deadly T-virus continues to ravage the Earth, transforming the global population into legions of the flesh eating Undead. The human race’s last and only hope, Alice (Milla Jovovich), awakens in the heart of Umbrella’s most clandestine operations facility and unveils more of her mysterious past as she delves further into the complex. Without a safe haven, Alice continues to hunt those responsible for the outbreak; a chase that takes her from Tokyo to New York, Washington, D.C. and Moscow, culminating in a mind-blowing revelation that will force her to rethink everything that she once thought to be true. Aided by newfound allies and familiar friends, Alice must fight to survive long enough to escape a hostile world on the brink of oblivion. The countdown has begun.

Resident Evil: Retribution will be released on DVD and Blu-ray December 21st. The film was directed by director Paul W.S. Anderson and stars Milla Jovovich, Michelle Rodriguez, Sienna Guillory, Oded Fehr, Bingbing Li, Johann Urb, Colin Salmon, Shawn Roberts, Boris Kodjoe and Kevin Durand.

Hmm maybe knowing you were planning to make an expensive new film you might think about using some birth control. Oh well at least we won't have to deal with another RE film for another couple years.

I was just thinking about this series hoping the sixth one could come so this abortion of an adaptation can end.

Then Mila got knocked up.

Anderson is one lucky mother[frick]er.

Wait they already started filming this shit?! Man if I were the cast or crew I'd be pissed. It can't take that long to shoot these movies, I mean Avengers was wrapped in what? 3 months? This shit should take a month to knock out, ample time for Mila to finish her shit and end this [frick]ery of a series!

That title was soooo misleading. I thought this was going to be one of those, she slept with the director to get a part, gone wrong. Then I read it was Malia in the teaser. I know about Paul and her marriage, so if the title was Resident Evil delayed due to Malia pregnancy, I wouldn't have been so surprised.

This franchise is probably one of the best guilty pleasure films I ever seen. I never see so much stupidly, laziness, and continuity errors in a franchise before.

Somehow the dumbness from the movies bleed into the video games, and killed it.
