POLL: What Is The Best CBM Of All Time?

Yes, it's time for the big one. Over 5 polls we have determined what you guys feel are the cream of the crop in the world of the comic book movie. Now it's time to vote on the best one of those 5..

Below are the five winners of the polls we have conducted over the last few months to determine the best comic book based movie out there today. We tried to make it as fair and varied as possible, we definitely covered every CBM (within reason, you didn't have the option to vote on Nic Fury: Agent Of S.H.I.E.L.D!) there was anyway. And all brands, studios and sub genres got a fair shake. The five winners might not be very surprising, but I think it would be hard to argue with any of them belonging on this list at the same time. I know that won't stop some of you! And that's the fun of it, so vote away, and sound off below.

None of the above. And Sin City? Are people smoking crack? It was great, but not in the "best" category.

Best would be either:

Superman 1
Captain America

Yes, Captain America. After watching it over and over, I can't find any significant flaws in this outstanding movie. Chris Evans nails the role. The movie has a great, heroic feel. The more I think about it, the more I think it is my favorite.

I would have said "Superman", but it wasn't even offered as a selection. I smell FAIL on this website.

Sigh, I thought about putting another reminder at the end. Clearly I should have. These are the top 5 as voted by YOU GUYS. Any movie you might bemoan not being here was an option on one of the polls.

I voted Iron Man, but I honestly like Thor a ton. Blade 1 and 2 were also great CBM's. I wasn't a huge fan of the Dark Knight. The Only part I really liked was Ledgers performance.

Haven't seen Sin City (and really don't plan to) so I can't comment on that.

Out of the remaining four though... damn, not too long ago I'd say Spiderman 2 easily but now I'm stuck between it and Ironman. Both movies I can watch over and over and it'd still feel like the first time and they're just so PERFECT arrggghhh. D: Gotta go with my gut on this:

1. Ironman
2. Spiderman 2
3. Watchmen (yeah, this movie is awesome [frick] the haters)
4. X-men: First Class
5. The Dark Knight (though I think it'll eventually be surpassed by Captain America)

3. Spider-Man 2

The bartender laughs because ducks shouldn't be in a bar.

Two ducks walk into a bar carrying a duffle bag.

The ducks both pull out pump action shotguns. Duck #1 demands that the bartender hand over everything in the cash register and that all of the patrons empty their wallets into the duffle bag. The bartender pleads with the ducks not to do anything they'll regret. Duck #2 laughs and shoots a man sitting at the bar in the face. The other patrons and the bartender hand their money over to Duck #1 as Duck #2 covers the room. Duck #1 shoots the bartender in the face.

The ducks slowly back out of the bar leaving two dead.

I argue with this list... I'm no nolanite, but on a list this short and limited with no clear rhyme or reason, of course TDK will win. This is the list of best CBM's of all time??? I understand the first 3 movies being up there, but the last 2 are kind of out of left field. I mean, I understand that first class is fresh in everyone's heads right now, but it's not even the best X-Men movie...

"Non-biased" would be pitting the top 5 or 10 Financially success CBM's against each other. Would I even like every movie on that list? Nope, but it'd be fair...

choice 5, never ever can a movie accomplish what this movie has

@ MoonDoggyX,

This poll, like 2 or 3 other polls before this one, where made to have an specific outcome. They should just change the template of the website to be a Batman theme and call it the Nolan/Batman Fan Club.

I am actually more partial to "Batman Begins" over all of these on the list...

1. Batman Begins
2. Iron Man
3. TDK
4. XMEN: FC
5. Spiderman (And I like Spiderman II better than Spiderman I)
Dedpool
Dedpool - 11/11/2011, 10:40 AM
Not a fair question with the group you have. "300," "Sin City," "Watchmen" and "V fo Vendetta" should be in their own group as they are what I call true adaptations, films that adapt a specific storyline. The others are what i call loose adaptations as they only keep the general idea, characters and world but usualy weave their own tale insipred by ones from the comic. These include "Batman" Franchise (Nolan), "Spiderman" Franchise, "Iron Man" etc.
