POLL: Which 2011 Comic Book Movie Superhero Has The Best Costume?

POLL: Which 2011 Comic Book Movie Superhero Has The Best Costume?

With some of the most iconic superheroes heading to the big screen for the first time this year, it's time to decide which costume/s you think have recieved the best treatment from comic book to movie...

Feature Opinion

Both The Green Hornet and Thor were two great comic book movies and with X-Men: First Class, Green Lantern and Captain America: The First Avenger all on the way within the next few months, there's no doubting that 2011 is one of best years ever for comic book movies. However, all of these have one thing in common. The reimagining of the costumes the characters are all best known for. Not one of them is 100% identical to their comic book counterparts, and as with most adaptations, this is understandable in order to creat a realistic look for the big screen.

However, which do you think is the best? Which does the best job of bringing the iconic costumes to life for us to enjoy on the big screen in live action? Here's your chance to vote and share your thoughts.

The Green Hornet

THOR

X-Men: First Class

Green Lantern

Captain America: The First Avenger

Thanks for voting, and be sure to check back in a few days for the full results!

Why would you even include Green Hornet?

Thor: Win.

Photoshop Class: They are almost as bad as the Batman & Robin costumes.

Green Lantern: Looks like a cartoon.

Captain America: Cool.

Thor takes this.

Definately Cap in my opinion. I love the way they handled the wings on his helmet and the costume overall still captures the essence of Cap while being realistic and functional for WW2

Tied between Thor and First Class. Really wish Cap's costume would have been better :(

Thor is nice. First class looks okay. But Captain A has a nice rugged feel to it.

Green Hornet might not have been a good movie and other costumes might be more costumey and interesting but in terms of classy, sleek and just cool design in the truest sense of the word it is Green Hornet I'm sorry to say. Its just a cool costume. not saying the actor wearing it is but the costume itself is classy. And Im not just talking close to the comics cos that was not the question it was best. It is the best.

Thor, hands down! and Cap is a close second,I just love the "reality treatment" for those two.
I like the GL one,but it's all CGI,kinda loses his "magic" that way.
the FC ones look pretty generic IMO.

Too bad it's only 2011... Iron Man would win this one hands down with Ghost Rider a close second as he pretty much looked like he came out of the comic book page himself. 2011 though.... it's Thor, and nothing else comes close despite what others say.

If one were to add Batman into the mix, I would say Tim Burton's first and second Batman costume would be amongst the best ones there.... just because it IS body armor, doesn't mean it has to LOOK exactly like body armor.... the point was to make him look scary - not an armored car on legs. But Sandy Collora's costume for his Batman Dead End fan film was by far the beset comic book to live adaptation costume I've ever seen, he remained faithful to the tone and look bar none.

Captain America's movie costume is inspired and I can actually see cap running around in it, kicking @$$.

I Say

Captain America(It still feels like Cap but with a real life feel to it)
Thor(Is an awesome armor costume and resembles Thor)
Green Lantern(Is cool but could use some polishing)
Green Hornet & Kado(Spot on and I always liked there classic look)
X-Men(costumes just look stupid to me)

Thor all the way but he definitely needed his helmet more. And it has nothing to do with the fact that it just came out and kicked ass, it has to do with the fact that the mother [frick]er LOOKS like Thor. Love what they did with Cap just not to crazy about the parachute straps across his front :P Lol of course it looked silly in a modern setting, he's a norse god so that wasn't even an issue, I'm glad they just went for it and made the costume completely identifiable

so GL wins it for me

@EasterBunnyKiller... he's a god/alien coming from a society so old and advanced that it's foolhardy to expect them to conform to the social norm the exact moment they get to Earth. More than half of what they're wearing (in the comic books and probably too in the movies) are most likely enchanted and do not conform to ordinary cloth. It pretty much works well on film.

He said it himself, he came from a culture where magic and science are one and the same.

@KryptoniteSmoker; EXACTLY! Here's hoping that when The Avengers come around, he wears something akin to Battle Armor with Helmet attached once he goes toe to toe with the Hulk.

Thor wore a ugly holister outfit throughout half the film. Cap's nice, but all hockey pads.
GoblinBomber
GoblinBomber - 5/11/2011, 2:02 PM
Thor hands down. And as bad as first class is. The costumes are the ONLY part i agree with. the cap looks great. and green lantern looks like crappy cgi work.

MR. TUMNUS IS NOT PROFESSOR X!!!
Jakeroo
Jakeroo - 5/11/2011, 2:08 PM
Although I like Thor's costume, NONE of these really made it from comic to screen all that well!!!

Thumbs down for these "train wrecks"!

Thor had the red cape, the "circles", and that's about it. A faint shadow of the comics.

CGI aside, the look of GL is aweful!
Captain America? Looks period , but boots and gloves need to be red and need another red stipe down the middle of the stripe section. ..not just straps or whatever that is??? Cap is out flag ad to downplay it aint cool at all.

I gotta go with GL. They took something theoretical and brought it to life. They took everything from rebirth and breathed life into it. Oh, and I love how people hate on it like they could do better.

i agree with bobby my favourite would have to be green hornet
Ghostfire

I voted for Cap cus it has that rugged feel. Followed by Thor and then GL. FC got the color scheme right but for some reason it just seems like they reused the outfits from the previous Xfilms.
