I voted Sin City. Robert Rodriguez literally used the comics as his storyboards and there were very few changes from the source comics.

Technically speaking, Sin City is based on a graphic novel, not a comic book. Otherwise, I would choose that.

But as far as being faithful to the comic book tone of the source material without being ashamed of it, MCU gets my vote

sin city or watchmen,i voted watchmen because to me its a near perfect adaption.

haven't read any scott pilgrim comics or 300,so i can't even consider them they maybe even more faithful.

Graphic novel, comic book, one is just bigger with other comics, still the same to me! Would have to say Watchmen!

After reading the first few issues of Scott Pilgrim, it seems really accurate, but i haven't finished reading them...

Watchmen. An the exclusion of the the big squid actually made it better.

@Superguy15
I restricted the poll to CBMs from the last 15 years, as there are plenty of ones made before 1998 and even some I had to cut out here.

@mateo4815
Scott Pilgrim is, hands down, one of my favourite comics ever and one of my favourite movies ever. I highly recommend you read the rest.

Scott Pilgrim is great. No doubt. But the film isn't overly faithful to the comic. Still a great and grossly underestimated film though.

@staypuffed I really loved the movie. That's why I decided to read the comics.

Yes the MCU is very faithful. Bucky is older than Cap, Pepper is banging Tony, Jarvis is a computer, and so many more examples.

Hellboy is the most faithful bitches.

Sin City and Watchmen aside from the ending

@Levi. Wait wait wait. Hey bud didn't you point out in another article tha Hellboy and Liz weren't supposed to be together? Cause they weren't in the comics? Right? Their great movies, but Watchmen changed the ending, Kick ass brought in a Jet pack, Sin city for the win!

Sin City, was the closest adaptation. Watchmen and V are close seconds.

LEVITKUZ

Where is it mentioned that Bucky is older then Cap? Pepper and Tony were together at one time in the comics, and Jarvis was actually a real person in the MCU continuity but after his death, Tony named his AI system J.A.R.V.I.S. out of respect.

Smh.....
