Prince William & Kate...the comic book?

It seems that the "Royal Couple" have gotten an illustrated treatment...

As if they hadn't gotten enough coverage for their upcoming nuptials, Prince William and his bride-to-be Kate Middleton can now be found in your local comic store...on the pages of their very own book.

As with every comic, it starts out with the origins of both characters and their eventual engagement.

Courtesy of CBS News:

"The story of their romance is illustrated starting with the lovers' early days.

Prince William can be seen on a family vacation while Kate Middleton daydreams about being a princess.

Then the plot thickens.

Kate wears a now infamous see-through dress at a school fashion show.

The Prince is smitten, they meet and sparks fly.

How was the idea hatched?

"It literally was a joke e-mail sent to me by a friend, saying: 'I bet you couldn't do a comic book on the Royal Family's wedding,'" writer Rich Johnston said. "I said I bet I could."

Johnston spent two months researching and writing the comic.

"I loved finding a way to tell their stories independently. So I have Kate telling her story, using a fictional diary which she keeps from a young child. And then from William I was able to use a mixture of newspaper headlines going through his whole life and taking the idea of like army -- RAF mission briefings."

Not sure what to think of this, but they are just two more celebrities in a long list who have gotten comic books of their own, right next to our beloved Dark Knight, Man of Steel, and Sentinel of Liberty.

The stories are available together in a flip-book version or as separate issues.

The combined edition "Kate and William: A Very Public Love Story" is currently limited to 3,000 copies.

The story of "Kate - A Very Private Princess" and "William - A Very Public Prince" have 2,500 copies each.
