In all honesty this is the real world. If you get stabbed or shot you bleed. Its not like the comics where you will probably come back to life. This is just bat shit crazy!

Despite contrary belief, the world doesn't seem to be phased by real life superheroes.

I dont know if he's crazy or not but Phoenix Jones is doing what he wants, and if his thing doesn't impress any of you, go tell it in his face.

People don't seemed to be phased because these guys are nothing extraordinary. They don't have powers or great gadgets of any kind.

The guy is either going to end up in hospital with severe injury or worse.

People do actually appreciate him. Pay a visit to his facebook wall and you'll see all the messages of support. In fact ,there were a couple of articles too where people explained how he helped them.
And really, this guy's careful in how he deals with issues. He's not stupid and KNOWS how to avoid getting into situations where he might get shot. He does have limited body armor as well and is a trained Mix Martial Artist.
Danger's real, but for the time being, it seems like he can handle himself, and so can his crew.
Basically, stop thinking in the box and acting high and mighty when you clearly don't know the situation.

Clearly anyone dressing up in costume to fight crime even though everyone knowd who he is has issues. Also it shows he's got really big balls.

It's a bit more Batman Inc. than JLI (as they haven't unveiled any impossibly hot chicks.... or, you know, super powers), but yeah, it keeps things interesting.

And here I thought Jones was retiring. Go figure.

honestly i think these have to be some of the funniest articles i've ever seen because of MR.jones. it also makes me laugh harder when everyone comments on him being shot lmao
to be realistic tho , the worrying part is escalation of some other nut job who wants to become his villian an starts a cycle of nonsense smh
P.S he has been stabbed before , an held at gunpoint while some other dude broke his nose lmao lmao

This is [frick]ing "comic book movies" why on Earth would anyone hate this guy? This is just [frick]ing great... A comic book movie site where superhero fans hate on a guy for going outside of the realms of a comic book of becoming a hero and making it his own will to turn it into a reality...smh

LONG LIVE THE PHOENIX!!!

We need to hire this guy a hooker or something, and how does he make money to live?
Greengo

STFU SotoJuiceMan.

That's what's wrong with society these days, among other things.

Call someone stupid childish names for trying to do good and make a positive impact in the lives of others.

If you disagree fine... But can't we disagree anymore without calling someone nuts or suggest they have mental issues?

TheBlackWolverine has a good point: CBM is for people who are intrique by the concept and the traditions of masked vigilante's but attack anyone who picks up the mantle in real life.

@jessepostal: Dude don't need no hooker he's married to "Purple Rain" who's also a costumed vigilante (I don't view them as "superheroes" because they have no superpowers) and she's pretty hot.

I wonder if this whole superhero thing will get huge. Soon enough, there could be whole groups of costumed crime fighters all around the world. And it's beginning to look like that's happening. I'm okay with people trying to help out and all (especially with a problem as big as crime), but I'm worried that some insane guy is going to try to do the opposite of this: Start a team of "supervillains" and pull of some major heist or killing spree... Crazier things have happened...

These 'Real Life Superheroes' really worry me. These guys clearly have mental health issues - no sane person dresses up like that and goes out on patrol. And what they're doing is actually wrong. This isn't like comic books or movies where a writer chooses what happens and everything wraps up neatly in a bow. Things can go very wrong for these people. One day, there will be a day when one of these 'Real Life Superheroes' attacks someone who they mistake as a villain. Even if their methods are 'legal' and non-lethal, the shock that someone could suffer from being attacked by a costumed idiot thinking they're a villain could completely ruin their life.

You want to help civilians honestly and legally? Enroll in one of the emergency services. Become a doctor or a fireman or a cop - they're the REAL heroes.

And for any fools who are going to give me any 'cops are corrupt' crap: not everything you read in comics or watch on TV is true. Even if some cops are 'corrupt', it's up to you as an individual to rise above the corrupt and set an example as a someone who honestly wants to help.

I think my feelings on these costumed heroes can actually be summed up by The Dark Knight - Batman, a man who has trained to the point that he's unrealistically adept at crime-fighting, takes down a whole group of costumed vigilantes (much like Phoenix Jones and his colleagues) because they're not good enough.

That gang of Batman-impostors was pretty much a reflection of these 'Real Life Superheroes' - they're not Bruce Wayne. They're not fictional characters. They're not capable of training to those levels of skill and strength. They don't have access to that technology. They're simply delusional.

I've worked in Mental Health (for a short period of time) it's one of my subjects at University currently (OT & Mental Health, to be specific) and i find it insulting that you guys throw that word around so loosely. This man has no Mental Health issues.
