Release date of the third film in the Twilight franchise turned trilogy

I am not surprised by this news but I do think the studio is getting ahead of its self here. One project (sequel) at a time.

Summit Entertainment has announced the release date of the third installment in the Twilight franchise coming to theaters June 30, 2010. The films title will be "Eclipse" after the third book in the series. Summit has obviously already scheduled a second film "New Moon" for release November 20, 2009.

I am not surprised by this news but I do think the studio is getting ahead of its self here. One project (sequel) at a time. If Summit starts advertising the third film before the second film's trailer even comes out they might and probably will confuse all the little teeny boopers out there trying to keep a handle on this new franchise.

Nothing really, but i think CBM turn a blind eye when its sci fi or horror related

Umm... Maybe you should do some homework. The Twilight series is made up of 4 books. I am thinking they are going to push all 4 movies out fast to soak up the success. Besides this franchise was big before the movies hit, so most people already know there should be 4 movies.

I am currently reading Twilight (wait until you hear why). And I seriously think the movie was MUCH better than the book. It was quicker, got the point across without the teenage droll, and vampires are fu*king cool.

Naturally, the target audience for this series will now proceed to tear me about for saying that about the movie. But the target audience is teenage girls. They are supposed to like all the drama.

With that being said... It does not belong on CBM. Not because it isn't a comic book movie, but it just isn't the type of story that appeals to the general of CBM.

Oh... And the reason I am reading Twilight is because I promised my wife I will read it if she will read Watchmen... I think I'm getting jipped in this deal... :\

Seriously...i watched it for similar reasons, but my gf [frick]ing hated it too! Some of the acting was so bad i actually thought maybe it was a piss take sometimes.

falconx2 i agree, vampires are cool..its a shame Twishite had a bunch of whiny, toothless little bitches in it instead!

sorry if i sound like a b*tch but you guys are all haters and dont tell me shit cuz im some chick i love comics as much as the next guy but twilight is cool 2 i agree the movie was a bummer doesnt live up to the book. the books are a lil dramatic but there good books. it was a complete turn around of the typical vampire its suppose to show that there not only vicious and bloodthirsty but civilize. and a**holes twilight has the rite to be hear cuz the writer was inspired by comics so relax.
