Review Re-do: Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance

I could not delete my previous review for some reason, so now over a month later I am giving my more in detail spoiler free review of this film.

"The Rider is Coming."

Story: Years after the events of the first film, Johnny is hiding in remote eastern europe but is called upon by Moreau, an wine drinking, motorcycle riding monk to protect a mother/son duo from the devil from taking over the boy's body.

Acting: Better than the first by far, the acting in Spirit of Vengeance nails it in every aspect but in one scene fails to be more intimidating than funny during the interrogation scene where Nicolas Cage overacts. Speaking of so, Nicolas Cage does a great job as Johnny Blaze/Ghost Rider in this film. He has great chemistry with a very (in some ways) misused Idris Elba who plays Moreau a.k.a the comic relief of the film. He does the best job I've seen him in and Cirian Hinds does fine as The Devil/Roarke. Johnny Whitworth plays the main/also side villain Carrigan/Blackout. He is very overlooked actor but does one of the best performances in the film. Violante Placido as Nadya is pretty decent and Fergus Riordan as Danny is pretty good but at times under acts in the film.

Directing: The films directors, Neveldine/Taylor are very under rated directors. Their best known for the Crank films but also did Gamer, but Spirit of Vengeance is their best film yet. They really shined in this film as directors. Though they do show Crank-like scenes in the film.

Visual Effects: The visual effects are done by Illoura and they did a hell of alot better job for the visuals than the first film. But the trailers probably already showed you that.

Score: The score fit the film perfectly and it really helped define the movie.

Overall: The film is quite serious but tries to be funny but at times at the wrong time. Though doesn't fully stay to the source material but is better than it's predecessor and is probably the best Ghost Rider film we'll get for a long time. Is this in the best CBM list like TDK and X-Men:First Class? No. Is it in the worst like The Hulk and Catwoman? No. But it is one that is in my opinion, under appreciated. It's not meant to be an oscar winner, it's just meant to be a fun film and a fun ride. That's why I'm giving Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance an 8/10

How Many times have you reviewed ths movie here? Let me rephrase that, How many times have you discussed ghost rider here. Im sure I was reading your double review of both ghost rider films, the week before last week. And then there was the editorial which was more of a opinion article on the new Flamehead flick. Then there was the review after the Film first came out. And the one editorial on a perfect Ghost rider movie.

Seriously dude, You really that desperate for attention. We got the point, you are a big fan of Ghost rider and the recent flick stop pointing it out already.

@Penguinlover: I deleted the double review, I'm not desperate for attention and I know people are getting annoyed by it, but in reality I don't see that as being fair. At least couple times a week there are articles and shit about the Flash film and how to make it good and different scripts fans have made for it, but yet they don't get ranted on about how their desperate for attention and shit. I'm not trying to come off as a dick, do I need to give people a break of Ghost Rider? Yes. But, please be respectful to my articles and if you do have a problem with me, please contact me at my email address. [email protected]

It's Repetitive and unnessesary. I dont have a problem with you, just the article. Being fair? Here's a tip, go out and watch another movie and review that. It's that simple, Review or discuss something other than ghost rider. How about mostal kombat, Go discuss that. I know you like it. Or if not a movie, how about a book or a comic. Just post stuff other than ghost rider for the next few weeks. Also If I remember correctly the two flash articles last month were badly written. Most of yours are decent enough to come off as intelligent and respectful, You got potential as a writer. So use that potential by expressing your thoughts in more than one or two subjects. Otherwise you will end up in a rut.

Whoa everyone just calm down now...

penguinlover: Why do you think you have the authority to tell someone what they can't/shouldn't post on the internet?
"It's Repetitive and unnessesary." Simple solution is to NOT read the articles if you don't want to/not interested. Why badger someone on something they WANT to talk about? It's not for you to decide. I'm just saying...

GhostRiderfan1: I agree. 8/10.

@Penguinlover: Thank you and I appreciate it, a week or so ago I posted the begining of my Mortal Kombat script as a tease but no one read it or commented so I took it down.

@Marsiv0Nayr: Thanks bro
