SCREAM Awards 2011 Winners & Pics

Spike TV's annual SCREAM awards which celebrate the best in Sci-Fi and Fantasy were held last night and some CBM's took away some big gongs. Click for the results and pictures from the event..

We'l start with the big one. The Ultimate Scream award went to Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2 which also took home the award for Best ScreamPlay and Best F/X as well as Holy Sh!t Scene of the Year for the balefire battle in the Room of Requirement. In addition Daniel Radcliffe received the award for Best Fantasy Actor, and Ralph Fiennes the award for Best Villain.



But Potter lost out to Mathew Vaughn's X-Men: First Class in the Best Fantasy Movie category with Hugh Jackman's appearance as Wolverine wining Best Cameo too.

The Dark Knight Rises was named The Most Anticipated Movie.

Best Comic Book Movie (perhaps surprisingly?) went to Scott Pilgrim Vs The World which also won Best Fight Scene.

Chris Evans won Best Superhero for Captain America: TFA

J.J. Abrams' Super 8 won Best Sci-Fi movie.

Game Of Thrones won Best TV Show. With Emilia Clark (Danaerys Targaeryan) beating several CBM actresses for Best Breakthrough Performance by a female.

The Walking Dead won Best Comic/Graphic Novel.

Other noteworthy awards were Natalie Portman and Mila Kunis winning the Best Fantasy Actress and Best Supporting Actress categories respectively for Black Swan Darren Aronofsky took home Best Director. Kick-Ass's Chloe Grace Moretz won Best Horror Actress for Let Me In. Robert Downey Jr. and Nicolas Cage were honored during the ceremony, receiving the Best Scream Hero and Maverick awards respectively with footage of Ghost Rider: SOV screening (descriptions as we have em).
