SITE UPDATE: User Votes Now Determine Homepage Placement!

Attention Contributors! Are you aware how our "Like" (or Thumbs up) feature has changed with the new site revamp? With enough user votes, now you too can make the main! Homepage placement has been automated!

That's right. If you've been frustrated that your articles haven't seen the light of day under the tabs, we've just made it easier for you to get the exposure you want by automating the process. Now all you need to do is get enough user "Thumbs ups" or "Likes" (see bottom of article). If enough users agree that your article deserves to be moved to the homepage, and they click on the red thumbs up glove at the bottom of the article, it will by-pass CBM editors and appear on the main.

We've done this because, frankly, our editors aren't perfect and do miss stuff from time to time, and we don't want anything worthy of the main to be passed over.

If you want to take advantage of this new change in our submissions policy, just be sure that you follow these steps:

1. Write well. It goes without saying that users who can't spell or punctuate probably won't ever make the main--unless a merciful editor fixes your article. More likely, poorly written contributions will get deleted.

2. Write about something that will interest our readers. Nobody wants to know about what you did last summer. Keep to our theme and produce something in any of the following article types: Breaking news, features, editorials, reviews, interviews. (Sorry, not much fan fic will make the main) Any of these article types can make the homepage if done well.

3. Keep to the theme. Comic Book Movies are what this site is about, so if you write about the latest Twilight gossip, it will probably not make the homepage no matter how well it is written--unless it's breaking news about Taylor Lautner getting run over by a truck full of comic books.
(Note: we WILL be accepting non-comic book movie news for our new sites within the next couple months. Stay tuned!)

4. Read our style guide for the rest. If you follow that, you stand a good chance of front page exposure.

If you need any convincing as to WHY you should be a contributor to CBM, read THIS.

So what are you waiting for?
