On A Cameo In Captain America: The First Avenger:

"I don't know. They're filming it in London and I don't have the time to go there. Now if they shoot any scenes here in the States, I'm sure that I will be in one of them. But I wouldn't imagine that they're going to change their whole shooting schedule just to accommodate my cameo, so your guess is as good as mine at the moment."

On The Prospects Of A New Hulk TV Series:

"Oh that's very exciting, and I think it'll probably be very good. I can't wait to see it."

On Andrew Garfield Being Cast As Spider-Man:

"I'm not that familiar with him, but if the powers that be chose him, I'm sure he'll be good. You remember when Tobey Maguire was first selected, most of the fans were angry. They felt, what kind of a guy is that for a superhero? Nobody thought it was a good idea. Yet he turned out to be great. The people at Marvel who do these things are really pretty smart. If they chose this guy, he'll probably be terrific."

"The people at Marvel who do these things are really pretty smart." It's the people at Sony who do those things for those films.

Now, as for his cameo in Cap: I'd like to see him working on recruitment videos or something just like he did way back when in real life. Some may say that he doesn't need to cameo in this because he didn't create the character, BUT the first comic that he wrote was "Captain America Comics" #3. Just sayin'.

I'm afraid he'll do no cameo for Cap

Stan Lee should get a cameo if and only if Joe Simon gets one.

I still have no idea how they'll be able to include a decent looking CGI Hulk in a TV series. And no one (by that I mean regular viewers and not us comic book fans) will want to watch a show about the Hulk which actually never sees the Green Goliath show up more than once or twice a season! I don't see it ever happenning personally.

As for Stan Lee getting a cameo in Captain America, of course he deserves one! He may not have "created" the character, but we have him to thank for returning Cap to prominence during the 1960's by making him a member of The Avengers. And as I've said before, it's Marc Webb that I'm worried about when it comes to Spider-Man. Andrew Garfield will be fine though.

i would rather see the hulk on the big screen.

i'm up for the incredible hulk tv show as long as its got a better budget then smallville,i wouldn't be able to stomach watching the hulk looking like doomsday or darlseid.

that would break me.

stan lee on andrew garfield.

"the people at marvel who do these things are pretty smart".

"if they chose this guy,he'll probably be terrific".

lets hope its not the same people that cast kirsten dunst as mary jane in the last trilogy. :D

Why would he get a cameo in a movie about a character he didn't create?

@ soberchimera61

i think he'd get a cameo because he brought captain america back into modern times,so the captain america we all know & love.

is thanks to him & the avengers issue 4.

Seems to backtracking a little bit on his prior comments in regard to Garfield.

Synister@ I am not quite sure how any comic book fan could hate Stan Lee.

Hate to disagree with The Man, but I don't know if he's aware at how much people hate Tobey McGuire as Peter Parker. I think that because the franchise made so much money, he thinks that everything was done right. A reasonable opinion but one I think is wrong.

Haha love the Hulk pic Josh! Great find. I really wish people would stop asking Stan about his Captain America cameo, because hes said this same thing way too many times. I'm sure he'll announce via Twitter, when hes shooting his cameo, like he did with THOR.

The problem with the first 3 Spidey films is they weren't entirely controlled by Marvel. The whole reason they have to reboot it.

DCMF: Ha, cheers bud - wish I could take credit for the awesome Hulk picture, but I've got the guys over at IGN to thank for that one! I'm beginning to feel sorry for Stan actually...they keep asking him and he's having to tell them over and over that he's still heard nothing! As he's the guy who brought Cap back to life (resulting in one of the greatest Avengers/comic book moments ever IMO) I would be very upset if Joe Johnston didnt sort something out for him. :P

Hero for Hire please! We've already had a successful Hulk live action show 3 cartoon shows. Let the other Marvel characters come out and play. Powerman and Ironfist would be a great show.

i think people are confusing marvel with dc. dc are the ones that won't do a show and movie with the same hero's at the same time marvel never said it won't do a hulk movie and show at the same time. besides if they do a hulk show i hope they use both green and gray versions of him just 2 see the 2diffrent sides of him.

@SynisterUrge - You are a douche! You can hate your wife, your parents (I do for having you), your car, your house, your mailman, your president, governor, congressman, senator, mayor, the easter bunny, santa claus, big foot, and the lochness monster but when you say you hate Stan Lee them are fightin' words. So you hate Spiderman? The Hulk? The Fantastic Four? Thor? And basically everything else Marvel created? It all stems from Stan's creations. How good do you think DC would be without a company to compete against? I mean this in all sincerity, if I had control of this website i would ban you for life you tool!

Completely agree with MarsAmbassador. The deal is that if Fox and/or Sony keep making movies, they automatically renew the rights to the franchise in question (i.e. Spider-Man, X-Men, FF, DD). And the fact that these films are money despite how horrible they are, they will keep on making them.

I believe that our only saving grace is if Disney aggressively pursues these studios to buy back the rights in order for them all to fall to Marvel Studios. But I'm sure it will be a long and hard battle because Sony and Fox are giants in the industry and won't let Disney "push" them around.
