Teaser For Frank Miller's Holy Terror Graphic Novel

Yes, even comics are getting trailers now! Legendary have updated their official site with a glimpse into the world of Frank Miller's controversial new graphic novel which will be unveiled at SDCC..

Miller's original idea was to focus on Batman taking on Al Qaeda but that soon morphed into what you see above..

“I took Batman as far as anyone, and this guy is just not him. He’s been playing the crime fighter to stay in shape. What he really wants to do is fight terrorism. He knew the day would come. The story is essentially New York under attack by suicide bombers and our hero is out to find out their greater scheme. He’s much more a man of action than a detective. He’s a two-fisted Dirty Harry type, really.”

10 years in the making? Maybe 10 years ago it would have been a less dated concept. Frank Miller really seems to be a one trick pony these days.

Miller & Millar: thinking they are gods gift to us all since 1999

I think it would have been better if the character was black. The mustache really kills it for me.

I used to wonder who was the better writer: Miller or Alan Moore. Well, Alan Moore hasn't become a joke and tarnished his legacy, so case solved. This looks so terrible, even worse than the Dark Knight Strikes Again.

Wow, lots of hate for Miller.

I'll definitely pick this up. Probably better than all the cross-over chrome cover summer event bs the rest of the industry puts out.

It's very sad to me when an artist doesn't let his style evolve. This looks just like any given Batman story he has ever done. Pass...

Would have liked to seen Garth Ennis' take on this.

Mr. Miller you gave us Daredevil, 300, Sin City, The Dark Knight Returns. For that I will forever be grateful but using extremely dated comic book propaganda? Releasing the book on September 11 2011? Not in good taste in fact it is bullshit.

I don't like the concept of this guy fighting against terrorism while dressed in a mask and cape.

How about waiting until the damn book comes out before y'all rip it to shreeds! Maybe some people don't wanna read about the same superheroes dying & coming back months later! If you don't wanna read it then don't buy it sounds real simple doesn't it!

Nevermind that 'Batman: Holy Terror' was a BRILLIANT 1991 Elseworlds one-off done by Alan Brennert, Norm Breyfogle and Lovern Kindzierski in which in an alternate reality where America is an opressive religious police-state, Bruce Wayne turns his back on his wealth to become a priest, only to find out that his parents' deaths were a carefully orchestrated assassination. In a rage, he adopts the guise of the Batman to uncover the truth behind his parents ...and much more.

I have enjoyed anything and everything by Frank Miller. As for art styles ... how dare you!

Look at Jim Lee.
Compare Hush and For Tomorrow.

you people (most of you) are ridiculous. everyone here is going to read this, whether you say you will or not, so lighten up. miller isn't god, but he's a (frick) load better than most of the crap being put out lately. so stop dishing out so much hate, unless any of you can produce something that none of us can talk shit about. this is where i put a smiley face to keep it lighthearted :)
