"The Dick Knight" : An Illustrated Response To Frank Miller's OWS Rant

Artist/writer Richard Pace has put together this humorous (for some anyway) cartoon strip making fun of the now infamous rant by Frank Miller on the Occupy Wall St protests..

Whether you agree with this or not you have to admit Pace has done a great job emulating Miller's style. There have been numerous responses to both Miller's comments and the subsequent decision to crack down on the protesters in the online/celeb community. We ourselves had our own little barny on the subject the other day, so I post this not to kick all of that off again (although it probably will anyway), I just thought it was pretty cool!

Oh please. Frank Miller is aloud to have his opinion. Look at all the updates on this 'Occupy' movement: crime, rape, disease, camping on private property, etc. They should focus of voting against the current politicians like Obama that give banks and such money with no strings attached. They have no respect for tax payer dollars that are used to clean up after them, police them, and the fact that they are occupying public places meant for recreation and community.

@MarvelWeiner Cuz the batman- stuff is from Year One, the comic that Frank Wrote. From an occupy perspective, you can draw the conclution that Batman would agree with the 99 % i guess.

If these people want to protest anything they should start with the current administration.

Not funny, just a hateful rant wanting him to die for having an opinion that the writer disagrees with. I like how it ends mocking Frank's work . Rich coming from someone in the same business I never heard of .

Why is it that the lefties tell everyone how tolerant they are, but they don't like other peoples opinions. We need a comic strip that shows the assults, disease and anti Jewish rants. I won't hold my breath.

Googled Richard Pace on a whim. His art is light years ahead of Frank's I'll give him that.

Imagine my surprise that @JackBauer made another painfully ignorant comment! Right-wingers hate any organization dedicated to black empowerment. ACORN is defunct and is only brought up to serve as a dog-whistle signal to the bigots who make up the base of the Republican Party.

Great piece... good for Richard Pace practicing his 1st amendment right. But I still have to go with Frank Miller when he used his. Almost no one in these "protests" know why they are there. Its losers trying to find a scapegoat.

frank miller should stick to writing good comics again, something he hasn't done since his last sin city mini.

Mark Millar was right... it's not the differing opinions that's the problem... it's the mob mentality of destroying those who share a different viewpoint than you... The "Rules For Radicals" approach that has been integrated into our political culture, if you will... This is the 18th article in 2 days that I've read regarding a rebuttal to Frank Miller's comments... It's almost like the hardcore, left-leaning/OWS supporters can't get over his political view point. I'd suggest they would be better off to just let it go. It's his opinion, don't crucify him for it.

I just read on yahoo.com that an 84 year old woman got doused with pepper spray at Occupy Seattle. I wonder which one she was, a lout, a thief or a rapist?

As for these protester, I admire their tenacity, but they don't have a valid cause. Ironically ,the corporations they seem to be protesting are the very same that make their cell phones, ipads, e-books, canned goods, toilet paper, clothes, toothpaste, shoes, hair brushes, tents, sleeping bags, magic markers, eye glasses, tooth fillings, web sites, the world wide web, etc.
So in other words, their hypocrites.
The baby-boomers had a legit cause, these people do not.

Well, I had my hopes up that you, Ror, would have found something worthy of my time, but again, I'm disappointed. Humorous? Cool? Not really. Ludicrous and typically leftists? Unfortunately, yes.

Typical in that it offers the silly notion that Batman/Bruce Wayne is one of the so-called 99% and therefore FMs work on Batman in the past somehow makes him a hypocrite (the left's ultimate sin). Ludicrous, because the artist, like the OWS whiners, lives in a fantasy land where Batman/BW is somehow able to maintain his conglomerate of weapons contracting etc. etc. etc. with equal pay for all, unionized employees and not one job sent overseas... because he's Batman. And FM is a douche for saying anything that conflicts with their fantasy.
The reality is that if BW was real, he'd have 60% of his industries overseas, where children are paid 10 cents a day to make 200 pairs of boots, or he'd be broke, out of business and out of power, and hanging from the balcony by his bat rope.
Sad really. I swear, I don't advocate boycotts, but I do make my own choices; I'll try to ignore Ror's posts from here on, but this crap is going to send me back to SHH pretty soon.

I'M with JackBauer. I understand the frustration but these problems stem from government. I think it would be a good idea to watch this video. This guy is not trying to lessen the rage these people show, he is just trying to tell them it is misguided and should instead be pointed at our government... Thus occupying Washington...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vZr9c1zYaOE

give it a look...
headlopper
headlopper - 11/16/2011, 2:48 PM
@McGribble- Exactly. Which begs the question: Is this a veritable grass roots protest ,or prodded by some faction with an agenda.

The baby-boomer's knew the government was the appropriate target for their angst...not corporations which make EVERYTHING we need on a daily basis our whole lives.

Can they be that stupid not to know that(there are MANY college students) , or is someone/something in government instigating the protests.

Suspicious in the least.

Yawn. Another comics industry liberal, completely out of touch with America- oh, I'm sorry - the "99%." People who want nothing to do with OWS and their ridiculous, anti-capitalist demonstration, complete with rape, etc.
