The show only lasted eight episodes. That's too bad. I loved this show.

I remember watching the cartoon growing up, and when they came out with this show, I was ecstatic.

Then it was dropped.

I think that this lives up to the comic book as well as the animated series. What do you think? And do you think that we could do The Tick justice in a live action movie today?

We don't really see too many comedic comic book movies these days. It's all about the drama, like with the X-Men franchise, Spider-Man, and Batman just to name few. The last comedic comic book movie I can remember being made was The Mask (even though that was brightened up a bit from the original morbidly toned comic). I think that comic book movies these days are taking themselves too seriously. Not that it's an entirely bad thing. I just think it's time to step away from all the drama and lighten up a bit.

I dont know about a tick movie. I would love one. The tick's humor translated well for cartoon but when they went live action everyone seemed to go, "huh?" I loved it and it had my boy Ron Pearlman as "the flame".

I used to think Warburton would be the perfect kingdom come superman but he just makes me laugh so easily i dont think i could take him seriously.

The Tick live action show was one of, if not the best live-action superhero show out there! If anyone is a fan of the cartoon or the comics, definitely pick up the live-action show on DVD! It's amazing!

If people out there think that a live action movie wouldn't be good (like I do), what about a CG movie?

Looks pretty kewl. And there have been comedic superhero movies lately like. ''Superhero Movie''. There's also Hancock. Hilarious in like the first half. Then in the second half it kind of became less comedic I guess. There's a new superhero comedy coming out later this year too I think. I forgot what it's called though.

Well, Superhero movie was good, but it was a parody.

as for Hancock. I loved it, but it wasn't actually comic book inspired. it was an original super hero movie.

I loved the cartoon! I only saw 1 live episode and liked it but it didn't have the same effect. It wasn't anyone's fault, I just don't think it translated very well to live action.

SGA - I would LOVE a CGI Tick movie! That would rock!

I'LL NEVER KNOW WHY THIS SHOW NEVER MADE IT?????? Everyone (mostly non comicbook fans), ive shown it to, loved it, well apart from the ball 'n' chain lol!!! This should've run for many seasons!!! What i don't get is they are doing a NO HEROICS sitcom remake of the British show, when this was that and so much more???? I thought everyone was perfect in the show, loved it, um you might of gathered i like the TICK heh heh! SONY, FOX anyone bring it back, it was way up there before its time, get PATRICK back, he owns the TICK!!! Get everyone, this is a series gem! Also, im sure if they made a movie of this, it'll do well too!!!! By the way i got the DVD years ago, love it!!! CHEERS SGA!!!!! ; )

lol. Yeah.

I guess it's because this was before Spider-Man came out and not as many people were willing to accept anything super hero-ish. I guess it was still too close to the "Batman & Robin" era.

I think they should either re-launch the series (although, Warburton is already working on Venture Bros. and Rules of Engagement...so he'd be pretty busy)

or come out w/ a movie
