Despite initial reports, recent Oscar-winner Trent Reznor will not be scoring -- or acting in -- Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter.

In a post on the Nine Inch Nails website, Reznor said

Don't believe everything you read. As it turns out, I WON'T be working on (acting or scoring) ALVH after all. There's no juicy story here, it's just that when the news mysteriously leaked out about my involvement I hadn't made up my mind completely, because various aspects of the project were changing. I felt the need to say something earlier this week because my inbox was filling up with speculation, and at that moment I thought I would be doing it. Confused yet? Apparently I am.

Bottom line, I wish them the best with the film and I'm sure it will still be great.

Also, in all the excitement of the last note I forgot to mention we're still fully engaged with the Year Zero mini-series, writing away.

So what do you guys think about Reznor not being apart of ALVH after all?

He is a F genius. Wrote and recorded Pretty Hate Machine working as a janitor or something at a recording studio. Played all of the instrumentals himself and then laid down voice tracks, album was amazing at the time, still is. I'm in my 30's now so I don't listen to NIN much anymore but much respect for Reznor.

Most people don't know this but Trent is actually one of the 12 Olympian gods, he took over the underworld and cast Hades into Tartarus then took his girl (who became known as Mariqueen). As a sidenote Maynard James Keenan now sits on Zues' Golden throne and watches over the world with his three bold and wild eyes.
