Who Are The Top 5 Most Popular Superheroes?

We all know the top 3, but who would make up 4 and 5?

I've given this a lot of thought and I've yet to see this topic tactled. We all know who the top three are, Superman, Batman, and Spider-Man (though I don't think Batman is technically a superhero, he is a masked vigilante. But that's another topic for another article.) But who would make up the top five? After some thought my conclusion is between these three: the HULK, Iron Man, and Wonder Woman. Now the HULK and Iron Man have recently seen a huge increase in popularity because of The Avengers film. While Wonder Woman gained her popularity through the old 70's tv series (well so did HULK but whatever). But for me what it comes down to is do people KNOW who the character is. If I randomly asked 100 people what the Iron Man's real name is or how he got his suit how many would know? Same with Wonder Woman. So with that in mind I think the number four spot goes to...

The HULK. Most people know his powers and how he got them. I'm betting alot of people could even tell you Bruce Banner is behind the monster. He gained some serious fame in the 70's from the tv show and because of The Avengers I think he's the fourth most recognized superhero in the world.

And the fifth most popular superhero in the world is...

Iron Man. Why? Pretty much because of his films and The Avengers. That's it. People know who he is because of the film treatment he has recently received.

That leaves the runner up as Wonder Woman. Until she gets her own film she'll have to stay number 6. Most people don't know her real name or even what exactly her powers are. But maybe one day after the JLA movie comes out this list will be totally different.

Thanks for reading.
