Priest is set in a world ravaged by centuries of war between man and vampires. Paul Bettany is Priest, a legendary warrior priest during the last Vampire War, who now lives in obscurity among the other human inhabitants in walled-in dystopian cities controlled by the Church. But when his 18-year-old niece is abducted by a murderous pack of vampires in the desolate wastelands outside, Priest breaks his sacred vows and ventures out to find her and seek vengeance upon those responsible, especially their brutal leader (Karl Urban). Priest is joined on his crusade by his niece’s boyfriend, Hicks (Cam Gigandet), a local outpost sheriff, and Priestess (Maggie Q), a member of his former legion of vampire-killers who has otherworldly fighting skills.

@LEEE you talk about how unfaithful fox are adapting the X-Men guess this is even worse, this movies basicly a whole new thing the only thing in common is the fact that he has cross on his head that is it.

Might turn out good but its a entirely different thing of its own though

"Priest tells the story of humanity's battle against 12 fallen angels, led by the archangel Temozarela. Despite having fought for God in the battle against Lucifer, Temozarela and his cohorts shortly thereafter found that God had lost interest in them. Upon finding God has focused his attention on humans they decide to rebel against God in light of God's favoritism towards the human race. They descend upon Earth to 'play God' among the humans who build a temple and statues for them. For their rebellion and acts against humanity, God destroyed their temple and their statues were cast underground, with their souls being trapped within the statues."

No vampires what so ever but what ever still hope it turns out to be decent atleast.

Oops... I didn't see Michael Gough down below...

Sad news... R.I.P.

Exiles @ Priest is not a well known comic book, EVERYONE grew up on X-Men... so yeah [frick] Fox.

Can't say I've ever read a Priest comic anyways, me too though... fingers crossed it turns out decent.

Bettany's LEGION was a total let down!

Damn, he should have been Prof X in First Class!

Anyway, damn sad news : (

@LEEE I'm not sure if I'm reading that right, but it sounds like you're saying that it doesn't matter that this movie isn't faithful because it's not as popular as the X-Men. Is that what you're trying to say?

Yeah, he said that in response to being asked why he hates the X-Men movies because they're unfaithful, yet doesn't say anything about this movie, even though it is far more unfaithful, leading me to believe he might be trying to say that this comic doesn't deserve a faithful movie because it isn't as popular.

They should make A "Blade & Priest" team-up movie!

@PartyHard the difference is if X-Men does bad there still might be others if the rights go back to Marvel that are faithful. This on the other hand if it does bad then there may be never a faithful movie to Priest. I think you have a legitimate gripe though. But I think this movie looks cool and will be fun to watch in 3D.
