First Trailer For Priest

Screen Gems have unveiled the first full trailer for their upcoming horror CBM, Priest starring Paul Bettany...

Priest is set in a world ravaged by centuries of war between man and vampires. Paul Bettany is Priest, a legendary warrior priest during the last Vampire War, who now lives in obscurity among the other human inhabitants in walled-in dystopian cities controlled by the Church. But when his 18-year-old niece is abducted by a murderous pack of vampires in the desolate wastelands outside, Priest breaks his sacred vows and ventures out to find her and seek vengeance upon those responsible, especially their brutal leader (Karl Urban). Priest is joined on his crusade by his niece’s boyfriend, Hicks (Cam Gigandet), a local outpost sheriff, and Priestess (Maggie Q), a member of his former legion of vampire-killers who has otherworldly fighting skills.

Looks like it could be ok. Not crazy about the CGI though. And it doesn't come with a great pedigree. Look at director Scott Stewart's last effort with Bettany, Legion!

Directed by Scott Stewart, Priest stars Paul Bettany, Karl Urban, Cam Gigandet, Maggie Q, Lily Collins, Steven Moyer, Brad Dourif, and Christopher Plummer. The film will be released in theaters on May 13, 2011.

Avatar worked, some of the animated stuff has been good. Thats about it. Oh and of course, Piranha! hehe. I don't really care though as long as the movie is good and the 3d isn't a distraction.

Lee, your looking forward to a RE movie. Thats it, just thought I'd point that out;)

Well it looks like something I'd see with a bucket of pop corn. Probably something that I'll find kind of enterteining but that I'll forget in a week. Not that there's something bad about that not every movie needs to be a masterpiece.
