Jeff Bridges and Ryan Reynolds headline R.I.P.D., a supernatural action-adventure about two cops dispatched by the Rest In Peace Department (R.I.P.D.) to protect and serve the living from increasingly destructive spirits hiding among the unsuspecting on Earth. The film will also be available early on Digital HD October 15, 2013, two weeks before it's available on store shelves from Universal Studios Home Entertainment.

Veteran sheriff Roy Pulsifer (Bridges), who has spent his career with legendary police force R.I.P.D. tracking monstrous souls disguised among the living as ordinary people, is none-to-happy to be assigned former rising-star detective Nick Walker (Reynolds) as his partner. However, upon uncovering a plot that could end life as we know it, the new duo have to turn grudging respect into top-notch teamwork to restore the cosmic balance...or watch the tunnel to the afterlife spill angry souls onto Earth.

After starring in two high profile flops this summer (Turbo and RIPD) I imagine Ryan's agent is booking him for bah mitzvahs.

All movies have a flaw of some kind.Too many seem to hate Reynolds and want to put down any thing he has done. You shouldn't let haters influence you. The movie was good enough.

This is without no doubt one of the most boring movies I have ever seen and that's a lot to say for a mindless CGI summer blockbuster fest. There was nothing uplifting about it, even all the Michael Bay Transformers movies kept me way more entertained than this. I don't hate Reynolds but he gets stuck in the worst movies ever with barely manageable scripts. Not even the powers of Jeff Bridges and Kevin Bacon combined could save it. If you have seen the Men in Black movies then there is no need of seeing this movie at all.

Don't understand the hate for this film. I went in wanting a cheesy fun film and that is exactly what it was. I really enjoyed it and thought it was VERY funny. Yeah, I will be buying a copy of this when it comes out...

Most of these comments are pathetic. Trying to see who can post the better "this movie sucked" comment to fit in. Hating hasn't been cool since junior high, someone should have told you guys. Though my assumption is most of you are in junior high.
