He wasn't terrible in Green Lantern. He did the best he could with a god awful script. It's not his fault that his character was written horribly, maybe the writers should have read a couple of Green Lantern comics before turning in their POS script.. He's not a terrible actor, he's made some terrible movies, but then again who hasn't.

He's supposedly a really nice guy in person. I've never met him, but some of my wife's friends have spotted him out numerous times in LA and Utah, and he is constantly friendly and willing to talk to friends. Apparently he is a hell of a tipper to boot. One of her friends owns a boutique near Salt Lake City and he dropped in, bought about a grand worth of clothes and left her a 500 dollar tip for helping him out.

Silly huh!! He lied to me and said it was suppose to be like Star Wars instead I got SpaceBalls. I have a right to be pissed.

Newsflash StrangerX, actors are told what to say during interviews about the movie they are in. They are coached before each interview about what to say and what not to say. He had to hype it up any way he could. I don't blame him for the terrible movie, I blame WB for green lighting a script that came from writers who clearly weren't a fan of the comics. Also, remember, we were originally led to believe that Batman and Robin was a slightly darker movie, with a more sinister villain that Batman Forever.

haha after Green Lanterns flop I hope studios finally realize that if you give us a well written, well told story we will reward them by going to see it at the box office. If you half ass something (like Fantastic Four 1,2, GL, Ghost Rider, Jonah Hex etc.) we will stay far away and make sure the movie flops. Seriously I will never understand Hollywood. Cheesy rushed comic book movies never do well and barely make a profit, while well thought out, carefully crafted movie make them a ton of money. Its beyond maddening.

@nailbiter111

he did not suck as GL but he does not have any good luck starring in comic book movies. everyone he is in fail big time.

StrangerX - 10/21/2011, 2:36 PM
IMO Reynold's stunk in GL mainly because he wasn't meant to be GL. IDK Y they've been putting off Deadpool, but the more he takes on other CBM's the more other fans will dislike him. This guy def needs a new agent.

Reynolds is [frick]in ace! The blame doesn't sit with Reynolds. He was a great Hal Jordan! There's not many films he's in where he stunk the place up personally. I liked Trinity, his part as 'Wade' in Wolverine was one of the few redeeming features. He was ace in Smokin Aces!

This is Reynolds and muth[frick]in Bridges chasing down the undead! I can't wait for this movie!

Haters gon' hate...but hate for the right [frick]in reasons

If Bridges is in it, be patient, it may be solid.

Sounds like nailbiter has jealousy issues with Ryan Reynolds. He didn't do that shtick in Buried, Adventureland, Chaos Theory, or Amityville Horror. He plays the same character in Rom Coms because that's what women want. They want him to be cocky, a little egotistical, because women hate men that are all emo. and mopey. They want to see someone who is confident, basically everything that Toby Maguire wasn't in the Spider Man movies.

I think this movie has a pretty good cast ,at least he's not being typecast as one type of character, its good when directors want to put you in different roles it means they trust you as an actor , looking forward to this one .

I never said anything about it being a good movie. It was more in response to nailbiters comment that Reynolds does the same shtick in every movie. Buried was alright, I thought aventureland was really good though. I also think he did a solid job in Amityville Horror. Another okay movie but he was great in it.

reynolds was good in buried.

reynolds was okay as hal jordan it was the rest of the movie that sucked, well apart from mark strong he was good.

reynolds would of made a better flash & maybe deadpool if either of these movies ever get made.

StrangerX - 10/21/2011, 3:18 PM
Ok I'll say he was great in Smokin Aces.

The reason why please see Reynolds as the Flash is because most of them know the Flash as he was portrayed on the Justice League Animated Series, where Michael Rosenbaum provided the vocals. He was the comedic relief.
