LOGAN's Boyd Holbrook Replaces Benicio Del Toro In Shane Black's PREDATOR
Star Wars Episode VIII star Benicio del Toro has dropped out of Shane Black's Predator reboot, but Fox has already found a replacement in the form of Logan baddie Boyd Holbrook.
The Hollywood Reporter reveals that Benicio del Toro will no longer star in Predator, Shane Black's highly anticipated reboot/sequel. Reasons for his sudden departure are unknown, but the trade points out that 20th Century Fox always struggled during negotiations due to the actor's commitments to a number of other projects. Despite changing the production start date for him, scheduling clashes remained an issue, hence why he'll no longer be battling aliens in the highly anticipated release.
It's not all bad news though as Boyd Holbrook has been brought in to replace him. The actor isn't as well known, but has impressed audiences across two seasons of Narcos and will soon be seen on the big screen as the villainous Donald Pierce in Logan. While a plan is in place to beef up the supporting cast with some bigger names, the studio is clearly happy with his work there if they're willing to give him a role as significant as this. As always, let us know your thoughts on this casting in the usual place.
