Following a small hiccup over the weekend, Hulu and 20th Century Studios have released the official trailer for Dan Trachtenberg's Prey, an upcoming prequel that is set 300 years before the events of the original Predator movie starring Arnold Schwarzenegger.
Amber Midthunder (Legion; The Ice Road) headlines the cast, which is composed almost entirely of Native and First Nation talent. The supporting cast features newcomer Dakota Beavers, Stormee Kipp (Sooyii), Michelle Thrush (The Journey Home) and Julian Black Antelope (Tribal), with Dane DiLiegro (American Horror Stories) portraying the Predator.
Trachtenberg (10 Cloverfield Lane; The Boys) helmed the upcoming sixth installment, utilizing a screenplay from Patrick Aison (Jack Ryan; Treadstone), and it looks like he may deliver the most satisfying hunt yet.
Prey begins streaming on August 5th exclusively on Hulu.

Set in the Comanche Nation 300 years ago, “Prey” is the story of a young woman, Naru, a fierce and highly skilled warrior. She has been raised in the shadow of some of the most legendary hunters who roam the Great Plains, so when danger threatens her camp, she sets out to protect her people. The prey she stalks, and ultimately confronts, turns out to be a highly evolved alien predator with a technically advanced arsenal, resulting in a vicious and terrifying showdown between the two adversaries.
