We're just over one month away from Steven Spielberg's Ready Player One and to add to the excitement, Warner Bros. has just announced a new sweepstakes competition with some seriously cool prizes.

To enter, all you have to do is head to jointheleaderboard.com, enter your name and e-mail address, and then share the film's official trailers and posters on Twitter. The three grand prize winners will either win the Copper Key (one free movie ticket every month at Atom theaters until 2045), the Jade Key (27 years' worth of Spotify Premium), or the Crystal Key (Free rides with Lyft until 2045)

Plus, we also have a really cool new extended TV spot, with plenty of new footage and new dialogue from James Halliday (Mark Rylance). Check it out below:

The film is set in 2045, with the world on the brink of chaos and collapse. But the people have found salvation in the OASIS, an expansive virtual reality universe created by the brilliant and eccentric James Halliday (Mark Rylance). When Halliday dies, he leaves his immense fortune to the first person to find a digital Easter egg he has hidden somewhere in the OASIS, sparking a contest that grips the entire world. When an unlikely young hero named Wade Watts (Tye Sheridan) decides to join the contest, he is hurled into a breakneck, reality-bending treasure hunt through a fantastical universe of mystery, discovery and danger.

Ready Player One features:

I think this looks very little like the book....hm or at least, I'm seeing a lot of differences, (what giant car race!?!)...which stinks as I just finished the book and loved it!.....but Speilberg is pretty good at this whole "telling stories" thing so maybe it's just poorly cut trailers...fingers crossed.

So, is there any real buzz about this movie? Genuine question, because it seems like a bit of a mixed bag of random things (including Spielberg, where every new movie he makes just makes him seem further and further overshadowed by the mythologized popular perception of his career, rather than what it really was).

Is it too early for early ticket sales tracking? What is the studio's broad expectations of it financially? Is it Tomorrowland?

@Spock0Clock - popular perception? What? Spielberg's acclaim is well-deserved. The man has made a definitive mark on cinema as a whole, and just because his latest fare is a bit more on the prestige/drama side doesn't invalidate his acclaim. The man made Jurassic Park and Schindler's List in the same [frick]ing year, for cryin' out loud. That should be enough for any director to get a lifelong pass. Spielberg is a filmmaking legend, plain and simple.

@Ragnarocknroll - Better double whammy from Spielberg in 2005 with War of the Worlds and Munich.

@BatmanxBatgirl - War of the Worlds being his most darkest blockbuster and Munich being his most darkest drama.

I'm sure copyright issues were brutal, but the fact that the writer of the book and the writer of my favorite movie Last Action Hero are collaborating on this along with Spielberg makes this truly magical!
