With the nation of Panem in a full scale war, Katniss confronts President Snow [Donald Sutherland] in the final showdown. Teamed with a group of her closest friends – including Gale [Liam Hemsworth], Finnick [Sam Claflin] and Peeta [Josh Hutcherson] – Katniss goes off on a mission with the unit from District 13 as they risk their lives to liberate the citizens of Panem, and stage an assassination attempt on President Snow who has become increasingly obsessed with destroying her. The mortal traps, enemies, and moral choices that await Katniss will challenge her more than any arena she faced in The Hunger Games.

The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2 is directed by Francis Lawrence and stars Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, Woody Harrelson, Elizabeth Banks, the late Philip Seymour Hoffman, Jeffrey Wright, Willow Shields, Sam Claflin, Jena Malone, Stanley Tucci, Donald Sutherland, Julianne Moore, Mahershala Ali, Natalie Dormer, Wes Chatham, Elden Henson and Evan Ross. The movie lands in theaters November 20.

Man this film series is one of the worst, but not as bad as the Divergent one

Psyched for this. Re-watched Mockingjay - Part 1 the other day. Really underrated flick, I think I like it more than the first film. Catching Fire is still the best so far though.

Cool, looking forward to part 2. Hopefully it'll be a little more upbeat than part 1

I like all 3 of them, and think this final one will top them all. Never got the hate.

@RorMachine I don't hate it, it's just not that good. Catching Fire has been the best by far. The first was mediocre, and Mockingjay part 1 was just a build up. Nothing happened in part one

Lots happened, there just wasn't a lot of action. They're character based dramas at the end of the day.

That being said I can understand some frustration with how it ended. It's a bleak [frick]ing movie... prob not what many blockbuster fans expect.

I hate all 3 of them, and think this final one will be the crapiest. Never got the love.

"Mockingjay part 1 is one of the best war movies I've seen in awhile, I don't think I've ever seen that accurate a representation of how powerful propoganda is"

"Mockingjay part 1 is one of the best war movies I've seen in awhile,"

FURY? American Sniper? The Water Diviner? 71? 300: Rise of an Empire?

All of those are better war films that came out the same year. FURY being the best, it even rivals Saving Private Ryan.

"I don't think I've ever seen that accurate a representation of how powerful propoganda is"

American Sniper is a better representation of propaganda than any Hunger Games film

American Sniper IS propaganda... there's a big difference!

@Kr08 For the love of God, man, please read this. It's crazy insightful about the differences between American Sniper and Mockingjay's propaganda elements, and how (in the writer's opinion) Mockingjay succeeds at it where American Sniper fails.

"American Sniper IS propaganda... there's a big difference!"

[frick]ing exactly. Mockingjay depicts the effects of propaganda and how it can fan the flames of revolution and how it can plunge both sides of the conflict into moral shades of grey...while American Sniper is quite literally propaganda.

Really? Maybe it shows the effects of propaganda, but that doesn't make it good. Just because you do something artistically, it doesn't make it good. There is such a thing of bad art.

I love how Kr08 never actually explained what was wrong with your statement about how Mockingjay Part 1 was a good representation and just listed other films
