A single act of both compassion and arrogance leads to a war unlike any other -- and to the RISE OF THE PLANET OF THE APES. The Oscar-winning visual effects team that brought to life the worlds of Avatar and Lord of the Rings is breaking new ground, creating a CGI ape that delivers a dramatic performance of unprecedented emotion and intelligence, and epic battles on which rest the upended destinies of man and primate.

Rise of the Planet of the Apes is playing in theatres now!

I really like this movie. It actually had a great story, a great character arch, the CGI was AMAZING, it kept my interest and had great action and yet emotion too it. BUT did anyone else HATE THE ENDING I MEAN COME ON IT WAS THE WORST. THE ENDING OF THAT MOVIE WOULD BE THE EQUIVALENT OF HITLERS FATHER RUNNING TO STOP HIM AFTER THE NAZIS INVADED POLAND BUT AFTER A SHORT CONVO HAPPILY LET HIM GO ON TO TAKE OVER MOST OF EUROPE AND MURDER MILLIONS.

@smythe - no way! caesar wasn't killing anyone and he stopped the other apes from doing it too... they jgot rid of the evil humans but spared the rest of them. all he wanted was freedom from mistreatment, and he was rescuing the others from it too.

i think this movie took great pains NOT to make the apes into evil monsters... the humans are going to get decimated by the virus first... and although there will be a war at some point i guarantee it's going to be the humans that start it. and well, even if it isn't somehow they'll make sure it isn't caesar's fault.
