Arnold Schwarzenegger Says TERMINATOR SALVATION Was Awful

The actor turned Governor of California turned back into actor expressed his thoughts on the most recent Terminator movie, Terminator Salvation, where he called the movie awful.

Arnold Schwarzenegger is working towards getting his foot back in the door of acting. You will catch him soon in the upcoming sequel to Sylvester Stallone's The Expendables, and he has multiple other projects lined up. Collider sat down with the Austrian born actor to talk about some of the projects where he said he would be open to doing sequels of movies like True Lies as well as another Terminator. He also didn't shy away from sharing his true feelings about McG's last installment to the franchise Terminator Salvation. "I’m open to all those things, if it’s True Lies, Terminator, a well-made Terminator…the last one was awful," said Schwarzenegger. He also went on to say that they did try hard on the film but it just missed the boat.

He's definitely talking about Terminator 3. He wasn't even in Salvation apart from allowing them to use his likeness for 2 shots. Anyway, Salvation was a decent movie.

I thought it was pretty good (though I haven't seen the other films). IMO, Christian Bale was the highlight.

Yeah...Salvation was not very good, but Arnold has been out of the game so long he'll have to prove himself with another good movie before I'd let him go back to Terminator.

@imnotahero, I know you were joking, but I think he may have really been talking about 3. He had to be. Even if he didn't like Salvation, he'd have to admit ROTM was an abortion. Personally, I thought Salvation was great.

Schwarzenegger's cameo was the best part of Salvation

hell he could make a sequel to Kindergarten Cop and I'd go see it... welcome back to the big screen Arnold!

Salvation sucked. All build up, no pay off. It didn't even make sense.

He's probably just mad that he was replaced by a cgi version of him who was also a better actor.

I think he is talking about Terminator 3 though because he said it like he was a part of it.

Yeah, he said He wants to also do a sequel to Twins with Devitto called Triplets so what does that tell you.

I loved Salvation, one of my Favorites.

My list goes...

1. Sarah Connor Chronicles (It is my "Firefly" for those who know what I'm referring to)

2. Terminator Salvation (Ever since the opening to T2, I wated the Judgement Day to come on to the big screen, and this movie was awesome)

3. Terminator (I love this movie, be it the bad CGI/Animatronics or the sex scene, lol Arnie truly was a badass in it)

4. Terminator 2 (Instant Classic, just not my favorite)

5. Terminator: Rise of the Machines (I liked this movie. Don't know why so many peeps hated it, the acted was bad sure, but dude, it was the road to the begining of the end!)

Re-Watch Salvation, it really is great.

T3 wasn't great, and was a huge letdown after the first two, but it was a work of art compared to the abomination that was Salvation.
