Strange...why is Avatar getting 16 million everyday?

20th Century Fox will be having a Merry Christmas, indeed. On Wednesday, the studio released Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakuel, which jumped to the top spot at the box office with $18.8 million its first day.

The studio's Avatar made yet another $16.4 million in second place on Wednesday. The James Cameron film has now reached $126 million domestically in just five days of release.

So far Avatar is doing well. If Avatar will continue getting 16's everyday then by the time the year ends their box-office grossing domestically would be about $350-450 million. Just a little prediction. By the way AVATAR ROCKS!!!

EDIT: Avatar has gotten a international box-office gross of $381,630,006 ;) sorry for not posting it at first.

ROCK ON!!! and MABUHAY!!!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!! and MALIGAYANG PASKO SA IYONG LAHAT!!!

I hope Avatar does really, really f***ing well. I bashed the movie (thanks to some people on this site) before I even saw it and... well, words can't describe it. You know, who the f*** cares if Avatar ripped off Dances With Wolves or any other bull. I can see people ripping off Avatar for MANY years to come.

I'm tired of people complaining about how "Avatar" "ripped off" other movies/stories.

So what? "Star Wars" ripped off every story and historical act before it. T3 "ripped off" T2. "The Last Samurai" ripped off "Dances with wolves." "The Power Rangers" ripped off "Voltron."

Hell, Marvel's Thor ripped off Norse Mythology.

Almost every new idea is inspired somewhat by someone else's idea/work.
