Kate Winslet will reunite with James Cameron for the first time since they made history with Titanic two decades ago. Deadline reports that the Academy Award-winning actress has singed on to be a part of the director's Avatar universe, and will play a character named Ronal.

Whether she'll be a human or a Na'vi remains to be seen, but based on the name alone I'd go with the latter.

“Kate and I have been looking for something to do together for 20 years, since our collaboration on Titanic, which was one of the most rewarding of my career,” Cameron said in a statement. “I can’t wait to see her bring the character of Ronal to life.”

It's not clear which of the planned sequels Winslet will make her debut in, but we'll update as soon as we know more.

Avatar 2 recently commenced production, and will hit theatres on December 18, 2020.

I've watched most of Avatar but I never got to the end and I need to ask...is there anything in that film that justifies a sequel being made? Let alone 3!
