BILL & TED FACE THE MUSIC Adds Brigette Lundy-Paine & Samara Weaving As The Titular Duo's Daughters

It was recently announced that Bill and Ted Face the Music would be with us on August 21, 2020, and now we have some most excellent casting news.

Joining returning stars Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter will be Brigette Lundy-Paine and Samara Weaving, who will play Billie Logan (daughter of Ted) and Thea Preston (daughter of Bill), respectively.

Lundy-Paine's credits include Atypical and The Glass Castle, while Weaving will be best known for her roles in Netflix's The Babysitter and Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri. They'll be joined by William Sadler, who will return as Bogus Journey's Grim Reaper.

Original creators Chris Matheson (Imagine That) and Ed Solomon (Men in Black, Mosaic, Now You See Me) have written the script, while Dean Parisot (Galaxy Quest, Red 2, Fun With Dick and Jane) has been confirmed to direct. Scott Kroopf (Limitless) will produce together with Alex Lebovici and Steve Ponce of Hammerstone Studios, with Steven Soderbergh serving as an EP alongside Scott Fischer, John Ryan Jr. and John Santilli.

If you're not familiar with Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure or Bill and Ted's Bogus Journey we suggest you seek them out, as they really have stood the test of time.

I love that they have William Sadler returning! And I hope and assume they will honor Geroge Carlin in some small way at the very least. You can't travel the Circuits of Time without Rufus in mind.

@kirklazarus87 - they could have more than just the one child.

They had sons though? These babies are listed as males so...

@Kevwebsz - might just be they had more than their sons, and their daughters are part of this story.

I'm genuinely rooting for this movie to be awesome. Alex Winter, like Keanu, is a genuinely nice guy and both of them really want this movie to be great for the fans. I'm so friggin happy that it's actually happening!

Wow Samara Weaving is beautiful. She was pretty good in ‘The Babysitter’. Maybe be in a few years she could be the new Sue Storm (MCU).

The first film was shot in the mall I worked at and the circle K was about 3 blocks from me. Watched some of the filming back in the day and had no idea what I was watching till I saw the movie in theaters. The movie has always meant so much to me as it’s a window into my old neighborhood at the time that I lived there. Kind of incredible... I remember buying comics at Atomic Comics (which was about a 5 minute walk from the mall and my house)... I really hope the next installment is good!

Shouldn't it be Thea Preston Esquire?
Just introduced my kids to the Bill and Tedd movies recently and it made me remember how fun these movies were. Wish we could have Rufus for the new one.

I guess their sons Bill and Ted Jr have already moved on, and have their own family. I hope they mention them or we get to see them in the film. Don't forget a Rufus mention either.
