All the signs are pointing to Blade Runner 2049 being a hit but someone who could benefit the most from the sequel is relative newcomer Ana de Armas. She won the role of Joi by auditioning with a scene from Ex Machina and after appearing in the likes of Knock Knock and War Dogs, it's easy to imagine the Cuban actress now landing a lot of big roles (hopefully in the MCU or DC Films Universe).

Talking recently to The Hollywood Reporter about starring in the critically acclaimed movie, de Armas says she was blown away by the scale of director Denis Villeneuve's vision. "The sets were incredible. You would walk in at 6 in the morning, and we were really living in Blade Runner," she says of the $150 million project, which shot for a total of five months in Budapest. "[Denis] was determined to make it feel as real as possible. He wanted the actors to focus on each other's eyes, not tennis balls."

She also took part in a photoshoot for the trade and you can find the best shots below. What did you think of Blade Runner 2049? Feel free to let us know your spoiler-free thoughts in the usual place!

"My life and career have been a big improvisation," says de Armas, who was photographed Sept. 21 at Corinthia Hotel in London. "I am not a person who plans things in advance."
