Check Out A New Trailer And Poster For COLOSSAL Starring THE DARK KNIGHT RISES' Anne Hathaway

Nacho Vigalondo (Timecrimes, Extraterrestrial) is back with another potentially brilliant oddity, which features The Dark Knight Rises' Anne Hathaway, and... a Kaiju.

The movie is called Colossal, and it's about a despondent woman named Gloria (Hathaway) who somehow conjures and then psychically controls a giant monster that begins laying waste to Seoul. In order to prevent further destruction, Gloria needs to determine why her seemingly insignificant existence has such a colossal effect on the fate of the world.

The film premiered at Cannes last year to a generally favorable response, and based on the new trailer below, it should definitely be worth a look.

Colossal Poster

Gloria (Anne Hathaway) is a hard partying New York scene girl who is thrust into crisis when her boyfriend, Tim (Dan Stevens), grows sick of her antics and kicks her out of their apartment. With no other options, she moves back to her hometown and quickly regresses, drinking every night until last call and accepting a job at a bar owned by her childhood friend Oscar (Jason Sudeikis). One day she wakes up and blurrily finds out that Seoul was terrorized by a giant creature the night before. Eventually, Gloria begins to suspect her own drunken actions are bizarrely connected to the monster rampaging in South Korea.

Colossal also stars Jason Sudeikis, Tim Blake Nelson, Austin Stowell, and Dan Stevens, and is set for an April 7 release.

@Kman - Deserves it. Phenomenal actor and I wish he was in a bigger CBM, even though i'm loving his take in Legion. The Guest is one of my favorite movies in recent years.

@KWilly - And in reverse: this time the human is the puppet master and the creature is the puppet.

@KWilly - the monster and girl have big dreams of being great chefs. It's too bad society judges the monster for his appearance. :(
