With the next Cloverfield movie moved to April, viral marketing on the film has seemingly begun. It comes in the form of a website for the Tagruato corporation, a fictional company increasingly linked to the monster attack in Cloverfield.

On the surface, the website is simply a muddled image with a "Browser Incompatibility" message. It reads "415 Unsupported Media Type. The error message continues: "Unhandled exception has occurred in your browser. The page was not loaded properly due to an unexpected error," along with some indistinguishable letters and numbers. At the bottom is loading bar that keeps recycling along with the message "Attempting to Resolve."

It doesn't seem like much at first glance, but fans of the Cloverfield universe, particularly the Alternate Reality Game that enhances the connected between the two films, have uncovered a hidden message within the site. It reads (via Reddit):

“Tokyo – January 18 2018: Tagruato has begun development on a revolutionary new energy technology in what Ceo Garo Yoshida called a technological great leap forward for our planet. This renewable technology will take at least 4 years to complete along with another six years International regulatory bodies to bring the powerful revolutionary energy source by April 18, 2028”

Let the speculation begin. The next Cloverfield hits theaters April 20, 2018. Don't expect too many details regarding the plot.
