DAWN OF THE PLANET OF THE APES Trailer Tease

This 12-second video teases the upcoming trailer for Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes without actually showing us any footage...although we do get some dialog (presumably) from the movie's star Jason Clarke, who REALLY needs to "speak to Caesar".

Be sure to come back for the full trailer on Dec 18th.

A growing nation of genetically evolved apes led by Caesar is threatened by a band of human survivors of the devastating virus unleashed a decade earlier. They reach a fragile peace, but it proves short-lived, as both sides are brought to the brink of a war that will determine who will emerge as Earth’s dominant species.

Dawn of the Planet of the Apes is directed by Matt Reeves (Cloverfield, Let Me In), from a screenplay written by Mark Bomback, Scott Z. Burns, Rick Jaffa and Amanda Silver. The cast includes: Andy Serkis (The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey), Jason Clarke (Zero Dark Thirty, Public Enemies, The Great Gatsby), Gary Oldman (The Dark Knight Rises, The Harry Potter film series), Keri Russell (The Americans, Mission Impossible III), Toby Kebbell (The Prince of Persia, Wrath of the Titans, Rock N Rolla), Kodi Smit-McPhee (Let Me In, ParaNorman), Enrique Murciano (Traffic, Black Hawk Down), Kirk Acevedo (The Thin Red Line) and Judy Greer (The Descendants, Three Kings, 13 Going on 30). The film hits theaters July 11, 2014

This film has me excited. Curious though, will the 3rd or last film in this series be called 'The Planet of the Apes'- to go full circle back to the originals n all...

"Speak to Caesar"

Just think about the impact of those lines...speaking to an ape who can actually have a verbal conversation with humans. Amazing!

@JoJo1982

Holy crap! I forgot about those guys! lol Out of all the ones you mentioned I'm really excited to see RoboCop and 300: Rise of an Empire. Sadly I haven't seen ANY of the Expendables movies but some of my bros love them because of the action and fighting you know? Never seen the first Sin City. I was going to honestly wait for them to release the two on a combo pack so I can watch them both. As for Dumb and Dumber it should be a good laugh but I've only seem the first like twice! lol I'll have to rematch it to get me pumped. lol thanks for mentioning those, I almost forgot! Ha!

I'm glad you asked that I remember a few years back after the first film released the director or producer stated that the first film was of course "Rise of the Planet of the Apes" the second film would be "Dawn of the Planet of the Apes" (Focusing on Caesars loss of power and etc) and the last one would be "Wrath of the Planet of the Apes" (Focusing on Caesars rise to power and reclaiming his throne)

For those asking if it's James Franco, I'm confident - very confident in fact - that it's clearly Jason Clarke's voice. Too "manly" to sound like Franco. Anybody who's seen Zero Dark Thirty knows what Clarke sounds like when he's shouting (the interrogation scenes??). Besides, Franco's got nothing to do with this film.
Anyway, can't wait for it to come out, the poster alone got me pumped!

James Franco is not in this movie so it would not be his voice, besides the editor tells you the bloke's name in the description.

Does anyone know exactly why Franco is not in the movie? Serious answers not "because he's crap" or something equally opinionated.

RyKnow - 12/17/2013, 11:13 AM
@ DreadlockedPoseidon - I think it's because as soon as Rupert Wyatt left the project, Matt Reeves came on board and other than Andy Serkis, got a totally new cast. Check out the link:
